Hello, recently my speedtooth modem, provided by my ISP Djaweb Algeria Telecom, broke down (software won't start), I just bought a D-Link DSL-2640U router but I couldn't configure it with Djaweb DSL even though it works very well with Fawri (I tried it at a friend's place).

I see you know quite a bit about "Guost", I would like to know if you could tell me how to change the frequency channel on the same wifi model, I have a disconnection problem almost every 5 to 8 minutes! It's quite a frustrating situation!! Looking forward to your response :)
Hi Lydia, I believe your problem comes from the automatic change of your IP address.
If that’s the case, follow these steps:
- You need to fix your IP address, but you have to choose an address different from the modem.
- The default IP address of the modem is 192.168.1.1, so you need to set a different address on your network card (e.g.: 192.168.1.2).
How to do this:
- Right-click on the network icon found on your desktop.
- Then choose "Properties".
- There is an icon named "local area connection": "which is the name of your network card". ATTENTION: choose the wifi network card "WAN" if you are connecting via wifi, and choose the LAN network card if it's via a network cable.
By selecting the correct network card, right-click on it and choose "properties".
- Select the TCP/IP protocol if you are on XP; otherwise, choose IPv4 in other versions such as Vista or 7.
- After that, choose properties.
- Check "Use the following IP address".
- IP ADDRESS: 192.168.1.2 (address of your network card).
- Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 (automatic address).
- Default gateway: 192.168.1.1 (address of your modem).
- Preferred DNS server: 192.168.1.1 (address of connection server or modem).
- Leave the auxiliary blank.
For better performance, click on advanced at the bottom... then "Wins" and select "Disable NetBIOS over TCP/IP", then OK and that should work, I believe.
I await your opinion, Guost.

the question is, is Fawri the same beach 1432 or is it better to choose 1492?
could you please tell me where to find this D-Link modem and if it is better than the modem provided by the post office or not? Thank you in advance.
