Hi everyone, I have had an iPod for less than two months, and the problem is that it won’t turn on or charge. It all started when it turned off due to a complete discharge. After that, when I plug it in to charge, it blinks three times in orange and then nothing. I don’t understand =( . Please help me because the problem is I lost the warranty, so 50€ down the drain sniff.

    Hello,

I have the same issue with my daughter's 2GB iPod Shuffle. Did you solve your problem?

    Best regards.

      Hello,

I was also looking for a solution to charge my iPod Shuffle that wouldn't charge anymore on the PC after I ejected it. And it never wanted to charge on the wall socket. I found someone on another forum who said to connect it to a power bank, and it works!

      I was starting to despair...

If this can be useful to you.

      Best regards

I have the solution and rest assured it’s super simple.
You just need to blow into the hole where you charge your iPod because it’s simply dirty and your iPod can’t detect your charger anymore!
So blow hard, recharge your iPod and you’ll see it will charge like before!

This applies to all Apple devices (iPhone, iPod, Mac) if your product won’t charge, blow hard or plug in your tool and everything will go back to normal!
Hoping this works for all of you, have a great day team Apple!!

Thank you so much, you saved my life. I was in the middle of a depression knowing that I have a flight in an hour and my iPod wouldn't turn on anymore.

I should specify that my iPod is a 1GB Shuffle, just in case.

So the problem was resolved but I don’t know how. Because actually, the problem started when I charged my iPod on a computer abroad. And afterwards, the iPod wouldn’t charge anymore. Once I got back to France, I plugged it in and it works again. I don’t understand... My problem is solved but I have no idea how.

    Hello,

Following my message from September 12, I resolved my issue by calling Apple Support:
(the iPod was just 1 year old):

The symptom was: it blinks orange 3 times when plugging in the USB cord and then nothing, it doesn't charge anymore.

Apple sent me a new 2GB iPod Shuffle, but the problem was the same. I called Support again and was able to get a new cord from an Apple store in Versailles. And now everything is fine.

Note: the shipment of the new iPod and the return of the defective iPod was done via UPS, paid for by Apple.

I am therefore very satisfied with Apple Support regarding my iPod issue, even though the first diagnosis was not correct.

I have received the exchange of my iPod, but the carrier left the package, refused to take the iPod, and left; I now have an orange UPS return envelope in which I need to insert the malfunctioning iPod, but where should I drop it off? Thank you for your guidance.

      Hello!

I have exactly the same problem with my iPod, but I no longer have the warranty!

Is it repairable or should I just get another one?

      Thank you in advance. =)

    Good evening, Muriel

Just follow the instructions in the envelope ...

As for me, I placed it back in the small box that contained the iPod, put the box in the envelope, attached the label to the envelope, and then posted the envelope in a postal box. Of course, there is nothing to pay.
There is a phone number in the provided paperwork. I had called UPS who confirmed the procedure for me. It's true that this is a somewhat unusual exchange, but in any case, it's effective.

Note: it is normal that UPS does not take the iPod back in exchange.

    That's it. That's all.

    Bertrand.
