Convert a ZIP file to ISO

Question

Hello,
A friend sent me a PC game in ZIP format. I would like to convert this ZIP file into an ISO file. Why? Because I want to burn (with a DVD-R) this ISO file using Imgburn to create a real CD. How can I convert it?

Well, apparently you just need to unzip it and then burn your file as an ISO image with Imgburn or something else.

A ZIP file is a compressed file (WinRar), you need to decompress it, then burn the files inside; to have an ISO you need to use software (PowerISO) capable of creating an "Image" :)

Yes, finally a Zip file is rather opened with Winzip, Quickzip, or others (not to mention that XP can also decompress quite a few zipped files)... and once the file is decompressed, you can very well burn it like an ISO image without additional software; which I commonly do with my Nero.

Yes, that's it, it extracts the compressed data and gives you a usable file for burning or other purposes.

If you want to use WinRar... well, you choose the file to decompress, click on extract and you end up with a nice usable file. Personally, I would rather go for QuickZip, but well...
