set up IP camera on Freebox

Question

Hello,
I have a problem setting up my IP camera to access it from the internet

I have a Freebox router activated
I created an account on DynDNS for my camera
I don’t know how to open the ports on the Free router
It works on the local network
Can someone help me?

Hello,

First of all, your internet installation needs to have a static IP address or use a service that can find the IP address of your installation.
Personally, I am with Free and therefore have a fixed IP address. (My answer may not necessarily apply to those who are not in this case... sorry).
Next, ideally you need to ensure that your camera has an address on its internal network (e.g. 169.168.0.90) and assign it a port number, it can be 8081, 8082, etc.
Then you need to configure your router to specify which internal address corresponds to the port you have chosen.
For example, if you've chosen 8081, you need to enter this value and the corresponding address, which is 169.168.0.90.
From there, when you want to view the video from your camera via the internet, you need to enter your IP address followed by ":" and the port number. That is to say something that should look like "82.226.131.127:8081".

hey guys,
I'm going to explain!
you need to find out the port used by your webcam and then go to the Free website as if you wanted to activate the router function of your Freebox!
activate the router function if it’s not done, otherwise I don’t know if it will take into account the port translation!
you will tell it
that all requests coming to my Freebox on port such-and-such (the one your cam uses) will be translated to the machine with private IP address such-and-such (that of your webcam) on port such-and-such (the same as above)

You need to activate the router functionality of the Freebox and open port 80 in TCP

TCP port 80 IP of the camera and redirect to port 80 again

And it should work
But it works on the internal network with the IP address of the camera and on the web with the DNS address of the camera

I have the Trendnet IP camera 312W + Freebox. Everything works: from outside my network, I can access the address xxxx.dyndns.org and see my camera.

However, when my IP address changes, DYNDNS fails to find the new address, so the forwarding stops working. I've tried everything on DYNDNS...

and access it from any PC on my private network
However, I can't access it from a PC on the internet network
I do have a fixed address on my Freebox
I assigned port 8181 to my camera and set up port forwarding on the Freebox router in TCP and UDP
I've been working on this issue for several months without success
I type my Freebox fixed address:8181 in my browser

here is my setup:

FREEBOX not unbundled, no fixed IP.
TRENDNET 312W CAMERA
Freebox in router mode, everything works fine inside the network (camera access, etc.)
email sending in detection mode also works.

my problem is simply being able to access my camera from the outside.
Does it come from Dyndns?
On the other hand, the "ping response" option in the router mode of the Freebox is disabled, is that the cause?

I managed to access my camera from the internet by connecting the camera to the Freebox with an Ethernet cable.
On the local network, it works perfectly over Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
However, it doesn't work over Wi-Fi from outside. I've already seen a message in a forum about this, which gave me the idea to test it with the cable.
My camera is a Grandtec Wi-Fi Camera Pro. I configured the port forwarding in the Freebox management interface. I created a DynDNS account, but apparently that's not crucial; it just makes it easier to remember an address (place.dyndns.org, but it's the same as typing 192.168.0.XXX)... well, if I understood correctly.

If anyone knows how to access via Wi-Fi from any computer...

With the new Free service it should work, right?? Of course, you need to activate it to get your login and use the Free networks' Wi-Fi :) The Freewifi.

No, I meant accessing the IP camera from any computer, with the camera no longer connected to the Freebox via Ethernet cable, but via Wi-Fi.

Uh..!! Yes, I understood that you wanted via wifi ^^ Normally, with freewifi you should be able to connect logically since you can surf as soon as there is a free network, and with more than 4 million people, it should work fine.
Is it with the PCs on your network?? Or from anywhere??

I bought an IP DVR online that I connected to my Free router (which has a fixed IP address, the only one that does this, I believe), and so all my other analog cameras work in IP.

Hi everyone, I have the same problem.
I really don't understand.
I don't consider myself a newbie, yet I'm stuck...
I want to connect via a smartphone,
here's what I've done:

I have set a static IP for my DVR 192.168.1.201
then I forwarded my ports (TCP) in my Freebox
with a table like this:

Port Protocol Destination Port
4001 TCP 192.168.1.201 4001

It works perfectly locally (even with my smartphone locally via Wi-Fi)
but not remotely via 3G.
I've tried everything, setting it to TCP, UDP, using the port range, even in DMZ!
Same result!

If anyone has a solution, I'm all ears.

Hello, with 3G, it often requires accessing the device's WAP server interface, like http://IP:port/wap.htm  It can happen that some 3G subscriptions do not allow access to all ports (I had this issue with VPN)  Solution: try using a port accepted by the 3G connection.

I am on Freebox, I can access my Edimax 1500 camera on the internet via my fixed IP address:8080
but I can't see the video even though all the settings are accessible, while it works fine on the local network with the camera's IP address:8080.
I already tried changing the video port without success.
Does anyone have an idea?

I followed some of your tips to set up an IP camera purchased from a great website (www.homeprotection.fr if you're interested), and thanks to your explanations, configuring my Freebox along with my camera took me just over 10 minutes. my experience with the freebox - IP Cam :
After 3 weeks and countless hours testing settings, browsing all the forums, and only getting video locally (no date update, or remote access, smtp, ftp http-alarm), I decided to press the reset button to restore factory settings.
And everything was fine!
I understood that the first address used in LAN (192.168.0.x) was not within the DHCP start-end range of my freebox. When I resumed the installation after the reset, with a new address, the "x" being well within the range, there were no problems.
Another tip for free emails: no authentication, otherwise with the manual you should manage...
Detection works very well, emails, ftp, http alarms (I created an insert script into a table with date, time) ... the log is erased with each disconnection.
