Hello, I need your help because I downloaded Speedfan but it doesn't detect the fan, so I can't adjust them, and my PC is overheating.
What can I do?

Hi.
SpeedFan is not perfect. It only displays the information provided by the system.
Moreover, not all fans are "monitored."

For example, on my motherboard (MSI P45 Platinum), only 4 out of the 7 fan connectors are "monitored" by this motherboard.
So I can only manage these 4 fans.

There are several types of wiring for fans:

2-wire fans: No information returned. (Like a power supply fan)

3-wire fans: The third wire has a different function depending on the models.
Either a rotation sensor (RPM: Revolutions Per Minute)
Or speed adjustment through a thermal sensor. This second type does not return information (RPM).

4-wire fans (like CPU fans): Rotation control (RPM) and speed adjustment

Have you tried cleaning your PC?
Dust prevents proper cooling.
