Hello,
I bought my PS3 last August and last night while I was playing UFC 2009, it turned off, flashing red. I turned off the power and tried to restart it, but as soon as it turns on, it shuts down again and the red light starts flashing. If anyone knows how to fix it or what the problem is, please let me know as soon as possible, it's important. Thank you in advance.

If you turn it on quickly and press the reader, maybe it will eject it, otherwise go to your dealer, it’s still under warranty.  And tell him that your game is stuck inside.

I bought my PlayStation 3 in October 2007. I have never had any problems with it, but for the past few days, due to a bug, I can't play or watch a Blu-ray for more than 5 minutes. Sometimes the game or the Blu-ray doesn't even show up in the PlayStation menu. I was thinking it might be the optical drive, but the guy from Sony's hotline told me it could be an overheating issue and that worst case, I would have to reset the PS3 system, which I did but with no success. So currently, I can play for 5 minutes and then it gets stuck on loading. Since it's no longer under warranty, what can I do? Is the optical drive not completely dead? Are current PlayStations really guaranteed for 3 years? Thank you in advance for your responses.

The guy from Games said it was the power supply :(((( damn, it's so messed up, I've had it for 3 years with no issues, and now it has to happen!!!

Salut, ça va ? Ça fait 3 ans que j'ai ma PS3 60 Go et elle marche nickel. Une fois par semaine, nettoyez votre console, retirez le disque dur pour enlever toute la poussière en haut des ports USB. Vous verrez des trous pour l'air, prenez une piqûre et enlevez toute la poussière. Et mettez votre console à l'air libre, mais pas dans un coin perdu. Allez, bon ménage ! Hello, your card is dead because you played on it for too long  I recommend putting 4 fans on your PS3 so you can play for 4 or 5 hours.

Same for me since I played Call of Duty: Black Ops, it’s frustrating and I can’t even put in games or CDs, it just blinks orange and red right away and I don’t know why because it happened all of a sudden. You’re psycho with Black Ops, I'm sure there are some crazy people who had the same issue playing GT5 (among others, my buddy who lent me his to fix...) so if it's indeed the YLOD, check out YouTube, if you search well with YLOD, you’ll find videos of a guy who shows how to fix it step by step... when I saw the repair quote (150€ to make it like new) it’s worth it to fix it yourself... (because even in warranty, it will be a patch job) plus, I have serious doubts about the so-called refurbishment of the console... anyway, good luck to those who will take it on and take care of your machines if you care so much... ++

Hello, I had the same problem when trying to retrieve the game inside. You need to unplug the console, then press "Eject" and plug it back in. The fan will run at full speed and dust will come out... the game will exit without issues. If only someone could tell me the repair costs, it would be helpful. Thank you.

I had the same problem. I was playing Sleeping Dog and then it turned off. I wondered if the fan was the cause, but no. Since I had it plugged into a power strip that was overloaded, I had the idea to plug the console into a wall outlet and miracle! Everything works like a charm. :) Sony had the brilliant idea of putting in fire safety. :) Have fun playing everyone :D Sorry for the spelling mistakes :/.
