Digital photo frame

Hello, I am new to your forum, or rather newly registered because I have often managed to solve my problems thanks to your forum without being registered.

Today I am asking for your help because I couldn't find anywhere to resolve what bothers me.

I just bought a digital photo frame from Polaroid equipped with Wi-Fi. When I read the manual, it tells me that to set up my wireless network, I need to install Winserver, but no CD is provided with the photo frame!! I tried online but without success!

To guide you, here is what is specified in the manual:

After installing Winserver (Polaroid Media Server), add the photo frame as a device to which the server can send content. To do this, perform the following steps on your PC:
1. Select Start>Programs>Media Manager
2. Enter <<admin>> as the user login and leave the password blank in the MEDIA MANAGER field, then click <<login>>........

Where can I find this software and how can I be sure it is the right one??

Thank you for your help
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

I found the manual for your device, but indeed nothing exists online regarding this.
I believe the best option is to contact the brand's on-site support.

I just bought a Polaroid Freescape 10.2 wireless digital photo frame (the same one you mentioned above).
I was also looking for the Winserver program but couldn't find it.
I tried in the menus and it works, here’s what I did:
    - turn on the photo frame
    - go to settings -> network -> wireless local area network. It indicates if it found a wireless network. (for me, it found my Livebox on the first try).
    - select your network and it will ask you to enter a password. enter the security key (WEP or WAP) written on your modem.
    - it will search for the connection (I put my Livebox in association mode, button 2 on Livebox) and it found my connection.
    - then it asks if you want to connect automatically, click on automatic and it searches for the connection: put your modem in association mode just in case
    - it will tell you that it is now connected to the network.
then go to settings then server and it is set by default to none, you should normally see your PC's name below, select it.
    - On the main menu, go to photos -> all servers -> go to your server then pictures, and there you have your image files from your PC.
    I hope this helps you.

I don't know if it will work or if he will read the post, but it's very nice of you to have taken the time to post this detailed solution!

Hello everyone, I have the same problem with the Wi-Fi on the frame.
I did exactly as you said, that is, I connected the frame to my Freebox.
However, when I go to configuration/server, I can't do anything, nothing appears on the right of the menu.
My PC is properly connected to the Wi-Fi.
    If someone can help me...
    Thank you.

I just bought the same product, and between us, I think Polaroid is really messing with us, no French website, the product doesn't exist on the English site, one has to wonder if it's a counterfeit!
As for the Wi-Fi, since it's impossible to find WinServer on the web, you have to deal with the configuration in the device itself. Once that's done, if you can't find anything, it's a bit normal, since it's searching for UPNP devices (does that ring a bell?) XP is not UPNP by default, but Vista and Seven offer it and take care of setting up a UPNP server with Windows Media Player... If you're on XP, there's a solution: freemeplayer: http://freemiupnp.fr/
A UPNP server that installs quickly without disrupting your setup, and once configured, will give you access to movies, music, and podcasts.

    There you go.

      Hello,
I am with Neuf and I also have this issue. I have configured my frame well, with a password, on my network but it does not have access to my computer.... I just sent an email to Polaroid (in French) ... I will keep you updated if there’s news.....

As I mentioned in my last post, I had no problem setting up the server on the XP PC with the Windows firewall. I went back to the Vista PC with ZoneAlarm firewall where I had the Wi-Fi connection in the frame but no access to the server. I tried to configure ZoneAlarm unsuccessfully to give it access to the media library. I finally worked around the problem by removing ZoneAlarm and replacing it with the Windows firewall, which I was able to configure to give access to the Windows Media library. Now it works, but I confirm the total lack of support from this brand. Thank you for your responses and good luck to you...

I also have the same problem with a PC running VISTA with an Inventel Livebox.
I can connect to the WIFI network but can't access the server.
I tried at home (PC running XP and Sagem Livebox), followed the instructions in the manual
(the one provided by Triball) and there were no issues... yet another blunder by VISTA?
Thanks if anyone has an idea.
