how to type a cedilla on a QWERTY keyboard Solved

Question

Hello, on my laptop, I have a German QWERTY keyboard that poses no problems for writing in French as well.
The only issue is the cedilla that I would like to find right away and assign it to a key, macro, etc... What do I know?
How can I do that? Thank you.

the question is which QWERTY?

otherwise use an ASCII table, the cedilla does not exist but the c with cedilla does -> 'ç'

the ASCII code for 'ç' is -> 135

you hold down the ALTernate key and keep your finger on it while typing on the numeric keypad 135 then release the ALT key and the 'ç' will appear on your screen
this holds true for all ASCII codes

Correction! It's a QWERTZ keyboard and not a QWERTY.
I already knew the trick with alt-135 but it doesn't work on my laptop. I checked if I was in uppercase mode, that's not the case.
So I have to use an ASCII table. I believe XP has one by default if I'm not mistaken. I just need to find the command or the program.

Hello,

Make sure you are using the numeric keypad to enter your numbers.
For example, on a laptop without a numeric keypad (the numbers 456 are under the UIO keys, etc.),
the sequence of things to do is
Start/Run/Notepad/OK
Ensure that Num Lock is enabled or turn it on by pressing Shift + the "Num Lock" key in uppercase.
Usually, a light turns on the keyboard indicating the switch to numeric mode for certain keys (e.g.?JKLUIO789)
Keep the ALT key pressed, then press the JLI keys (1, 3, and 5) successively/Release.
You should see a cedilla. If not, try

I'm probably an idiot, but everything that was said does not work with my PC!
Oh yes, and I also have a little problem with accents!
My PC is a netbook with an American QWERTY keyboard.
And I really would like to have shortcuts for accents and cedilla without switching the keyboard to AZERTY.

I don't know anything about computers, but I managed to find the Swedish QWERTY on my laptop. You need to press the blue Fn key and Alt, keep both keys pressed down, then press the blue keys 1, 3, and 5 on the keyboard (letters JLI on mine). It sounds complicated, but it's easy once you get the hang of it. Fn+Alt then 1, 3, 5
