Extracting only one part of a split .rar file?

Hello,
I have looked into quite a few topics about split (or segmented) archives, but none answer my question.
So here's what I would like to know:
Is it possible to extract just one part of a split archive without possessing the others? And if so, how? With which program?
For example, I have the file gnagna.part6.rar and I know it comes from a split archive of 6 files that I do not have:
gnagna.part1.rar
gnagna.part2.rar
gnagna.part3.rar
gnagna.part4.rar
gnagna.part5.rar
But I am not interested in them; what I want is just to extract gnagna.part6.rar and therefore detach it from the others. I imagine it must be possible since my archive is not empty, there must be something inside. It's a video and I only want the end.
Thank you very much for your help.
PS: I have a hex editor, if that can help you.

I had the same problem, and I don't know why I tried something, and very strangely it's very simple and it works ^^
-You right-click on your .rar file
-You select "open with..."
-You choose VLC (I haven't tried with other players)
-An error message appears saying that the AVI file is broken and that it won't be possible to navigate through it correctly, and you are asked if you want to try to repair it.
-You click "do not repair"
-And strangely it works ^^ -
if file by using quickPar

Ah... is my question too stupid or too difficult that no one is answering?
In the meantime, I tried something, but it didn't work. I made 5 copies of my gnagna.part6.rar and renamed them respectively to gnagna.part1.rar, gnagna.part2.rar... and so on up to part5.
The idea was that by starting the extraction from my fake part1, WinRAR would find all the other __part#.rar files it needed.
But something in the header (probably) of the file gnagna.part6.rar indicates that it is the last part of a split archive series, even if it is renamed.
Anyway, I really need help. :-) -
That's also my problem.. I download movies in multiple rar parts with Rapidshare and since I have a speed of 256 kb/s it takes me a long time to download everything, so I would like to find a solution to extract part 1 alone and so on... and thus watch my movie little by little.

I found the solution. I know it's two years later, but it will be useful, I'm sure of it. So you need to use 7zip; you can extract volume one without the next one, and you'll be able to watch the first part normally.

Hi! I just came across this topic: it's exactly my problem. I managed to read part of it by renaming it, but it only works on small videos...
We need help!-
Oh, look, support... Thanks! :-)
However, even though I'm still interested in a possible response, I ended up deleting the file I wanted to open because it was too large and cluttered my drive.
Otherwise, you should try extracting your file with 7Zip. I tried it myself, and indeed, 7Zip produces a video file, but I couldn't play it with any players. If this impossibility is due to a codec issue, then you have a chance. If it comes from a faulty decompression, then it won't work.
Give it a try, and let me know if it works. ;-)
