what is a "USERNAME"

Hello,  I installed a software on my computer but it is asking me for a "USER NAME" and I don't know what to put in that box! :'(  Thank you to anyone who takes the time to help me.

It's a username. You can put whatever you want, unless it's software that requires an account, in which case the username is more like the account identifier in question.

Thank you, but the software is "Recover My Files" and since it is in English, I don't know where to create an account or change the language because I tried using my name and it didn't work. I also tried with the name of my computer.

When you enter "user name", is the "license" area accessible, or do you have to click on "buy now"?

I don't know how you obtained this license, but it is likely that a "user name" was associated with it, if only the email address you used... check the letter or email you received with this key....
