Hello,
I just bought an HP Pavilion dv7 notebook pc
Config: motherboard (according to CPU-Z) compal model: 30f4; chipset: Intel PM45
graphics card: Geforce 9200GS
processor: Core 2 Duo T5800
Windows Vista Home Premium
RAM: SLOT 1: 2048 DDR2 PC2 6400; 400MHz brand: Hyundai
SLOT 2: 1048 DDR2 PC2 6400; 400MHz brand: Mosel
I would like to know if I could remove the stick from slot 2 to put in a 2048 of the same brand as slot 1 to make a total of 4GB, but can the motherboard (I think so, but I prefer to ask) support 4GB.
Best regards

Unless you have Vista 64, it won't be of any use to you...
but well... if the motherboard supports 3GB, it can support 4GB... but take the same reference as your original 2GB (DDR2 pc 6400)

But normally, XP only supports 3.25GB out of 4GB, except for 64-bit XP, and I thought that 32-bit Vista supported 4GB.
