Hello,
It's been about 2 hours since the touchpad scroll on my Samsung R509 laptop stopped working. And when I check the mouse options, I see the following message: Unable to connect to the Synaptic pointing device driver.
I tried doing a system restore, but it was useless. This happened right after I downloaded a DivX update...
I imagine it can't be that serious, but I don't know what to do now.
Could someone kindly help me out?

And no, it's not a big deal, just reinstall the mouse driver.
But for that, you will need the complete serial number of your computer because Samsung stores everything online.
https://www.samsung.com/fr/support/
Select laptop, then series R, and then the correct number.
