Hello, I am a premium member on c-date and I can't cancel my subscription. It gives me a fax number with +49 (0) 40 74 02 125 734 and it doesn't go through. Does anyone have a solution?

Hello,
For a scam, it's a good scam.
In fact, by using service@c-date.fr, you have the option to cancel. The service responds pretty quickly, and you are assigned an incident number in the email. However, I think there is only one person "Christelle" who handles the incidents. However, for the reimbursement of fees, even if you've only sent two messages and canceled four days later, their position is clear: No refund.
One solution is to file a complaint and bring this complaint to the bank, which will credit you the amount. I'm going to file a complaint on Monday at my police station.
I will also take the opportunity to write to the fraud prevention services, given that a premium member receives fewer contact proposals than a non-subscribed member. The paid fees are simply for sending messages in response to a "free" proposal from the C-date service; however, these fees and rights only apply to men :). In their so-called T&Cs, the client is the man :) and not the woman. It's ridiculous.
Their statistics are nonsense; there is no counter. Look at the page coding; it's in a text tag in HTML. Theoretically, we should have seen a counter.
Paul's satisfaction message (42) is also just text in a tag; there should have been a function that displayed different testimonials.
I think there are other interesting things that could shake up some organizations.
If I have the time, my friends and I will play around with the site :). I have 179.4 € reasons to do so.
Ciao

Hello,
Almost all (steamy) dating sites are real scams. As long as you aren't subscribed, you receive a ton of enticing proposals corresponding to the profiles you are looking for, and as soon as you subscribe, the messages you send go unanswered, the profiles sent don’t respond and for GOOD REASON, they don’t exist. They are fake profiles sent to get you to subscribe...
I tried the site yesmessenger. Without a subscription, I had lots of girls teasing me and those whose photos I liked responded, but every time I gave my email address or phone number for a meet-up, I received an alert notifying me that the email address and phone number had been erased... So I subscribed, but then no more contacts... I looked for the contacts with whom I had exchanged, but despite what we had to say, the girl didn’t remember me.... So I decided to look beyond my region since I am always traveling, and there, I found profiles with different names and modified ads but always with the same photo... For the same girl, she was born in a different region, had a different profession, etc... And these fake profiles, you find them on other sites... How? Simply because they are listings... These people do not exist...
File a complaint? Why do that!!! By subscribing, you're supposed to have read the terms and conditions, which few people do, I know, but to validate your subscription, you must have checked the box that you accept the terms. I provided proof that everything was a scam on yesmessenger to the DCCRH and even with all the evidence of fraud, I was unable to get refunded for my 3-month subscription that I wanted to cancel after 3 days when I realized the trick. I only obtained the guarantee that the subscription would not be tacitly renewed, because as you pointed out, all these sites are unreachable for cancellation and thus, subscriptions continue unless you oppose it at your bank with all the paperwork that entails. The scams are known, and yet the sites continue to exist....
There are surely honest dating sites. Meetic is among them apparently... But well, on Meetic, you don’t find any flirty women among the existing ads. It’s not the same style.

It's a scam. Invalidate your credit cards if you don't want to have more problems. That's what I did.

Hello,
Given the address of the head office, it's obvious that it's a scam! ! !
However (I know the subject), if you do not cancel your credit card with your bank, you should expect to be debited significant amounts one day because they will certainly use your card number or resell it.
They are likely part of a network of unscrupulous scammers.
Good luck.

Hello, I signed up last night just to have some fun and immediately saw it looked like a scam, so I did everything to cancel! I stumbled upon this forum and it's nice to see people helping each other!
I deleted my profile, but having been registered for only a few minutes, I didn't provide my bank details. Should I still call that number to cancel my registration???
I'm not sure, but it would be kind of you to let me know quickly before it's too late, even though I strongly doubt they could ask me for anything! Thank you

Hello,
I have the same problem as you, it's intentional, so I sent an email today explaining the situation and attaching the document to fax to the email address: service@c-date.fr and I'm waiting for a response. If I don't hear anything in a few days, I'll have to cancel my credit card to block the upcoming charge........it's really a scam practice...........I hope I have helped you...........

This site is a scam, the only way to get out of it is to go to your bank and report your credit card lost and destroy it, you need to order another one, it's the only way to avoid being unfairly charged....
That's what I did......

hello everyone,
I have the same issue as you and we cannot cancel either by email or by fax. I think we need to report this scam...
If anyone has already taken steps, let me know...
thank you

Hi,
Personally, I was able to cancel by fax, what Philippe said on June 11 is true, the number is 0049407402125734. The + means you need to add two zeros and the zero in parentheses is only for those living in Germany, 0049 is the code for Germany, and 0033 is the one for France.
But every time I had a question, I used the address they have on the site, service@c-date.fr, and each time I got a quick response.

Hello everyone
Same for me, I signed up two months ago by responding to a poor thing on Hotmail and I got scammed out of €120 just to receive contact proposals from girls 20 years older than me who don't even reply to my messages.
What makes me less amused is that this site doesn't seem to care about sending me the ball back for my unsubscription. I therefore sent them a fax, which is the usual procedure, but it's still not easy to find a fax at the post office for an additional 6 euros. No response, the day after I emailed, no reply. Today I received an email in English, we're waiting for Monday. My goal is to not be charged a second time. Their email registration@c-date.fr doesn't work.
If anyone has managed to unsubscribe by email or fax, please let me know. Otherwise, we will have to report this site, which is a pure scam and a real SCAM.
Best regards
ArnO

Can someone tell me more about this type of site?!
Has a single person "man" ever had a real meeting?!
A site that shows 54% girls to 46% guys seems mega suspicious to me...
Especially since the prices seem very high compared to other legitimate sites ;)

Like you, I believe this site is a scam:
I received a lot of "offers" before signing up. I made the mistake of registering, and now I have only received 3 "offers" in 3 weeks, none of which are in my area. I have written to them, and received no response.
I requested an immediate refund from C-DATE (within the legal 7-day period), they refuse to refund me in full, but promise to partially refund me. I'm waiting, but I doubt their good faith.
Here is where to write:
service@c-date.fr
Government website to report a scam:
www.internet-signalement.gouv.fr
If you have been improperly charged or believe you have been deceived by c-date, use the link above and file a complaint with the gendarmerie
In my opinion, it could be useful to stop them from continuing to cause harm.

Hello!
Thank you very much for your comments! Thanks to you, I won't make the mistake (sorry...) of signing up on this site! I still thought it was a bit too good to be true, so I decided to do a Google search... That’s how I stumbled upon the forum...
It’s really a shameful scam based on men’s emotional distress... I think there are a lot of men who sign up and very few women. One wonders how they manage to maintain a ratio of 54% women to 46% men over time!!! These numbers should vary according to the registrations!!! Another question: why isn’t the DGCCRF doing anything???
Married for 10 years, I’m looking for - like many - contacts to try to feel alive again... Well, all of this is an age-old story!... I filled out my profile on C-Date in May... And since then, contact proposals and messages have kept coming in! I was just about to sign up to see if the contacts were real... I think that’s how many people get caught! Without this forum, I would have signed up. So, thank you!!!
See you later!

Beware of those who unsubscribe over the phone; you have no record of it. Make your request by registered letter, or at least by email, and demand a response.
Also, be sure to file a complaint as much as possible; we need to put an end to this scam.

Does anyone have a solution to cancel without any issues (other than going to see their banker or destroying their bank card^^)? I already don't understand why a fax is required with email, reasons, code, and signature, but if they continue to charge as if nothing happened, that's just ridiculous!
Otherwise, another question: where can we see the type of subscription we took and the exact dates of the charges (as well as the amounts)? I searched the website but couldn’t find it. Could someone enlighten me?
This site really smells like a scam, I truly regret signing up.

Dear Sir or Madam,
I thank you for canceling my subscription.
Disabled at 80%, I only receive €600 per month.
However, next month, your charge will be rejected.
It is my fault, and I apologize: I read the terms and conditions too quickly and thought that after a trial month, you would ask for our opinion before charging for a subscription.
Counting on your understanding, please accept my gratitude,
yours sincerely,
Philippe MOLTER

But you, who has already taken the same step, what about the charge on your bank account?
Thanks for the information.
Hello scam!!!
I subscribed to the offer at 4.99 euros like many of us
If you want to unsubscribe, there’s only one solution: report your credit card
as lost to your bank.
Indeed, I sent a cancellation letter with acknowledgment of receipt to Germany, I'm still waiting for a reply.
However, I received a confirmation email of my cancellation.
The trap is closing, how: if you wait, they will charge you the famous 115 euros
because you cannot block the payment!!
We gave our credit card number, we did not give any transfer order,
so YOU CANNOT BLOCK THE PAYMENT.
THE ONLY SOLUTION: REPORT YOUR CREDIT CARD AS STOLEN!!!!
Do like me: WAKE UP QUICKLY!!!!
OTHERWISE THEY WON'T HESITATE TO CHARGE YOU EVERY MONTH!!!
NO RECOURSE!!!
DON'T FORGET: YOU ACCEPTED THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS!!!
YOUR CANCELLED CREDIT CARD: THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ANYMORE!!!
AT WORST, THEY WILL SEND US THREATENING LETTERS.
IT'S NOTHING!!! DON'T EVEN RESPOND TO THEM. THEY HAVE NO RECOURSE!!!
