Windows Update Error 80072efd

Hello,

For a week, I have been unable to access Windows Update.
I keep getting error code 80072efd.
I have gone on several forums without finding a solution.
I have tried everything: system restore to a date when Windows Update was working, disabling the firewall, antivirus, web accelerators......

I cannot access the Microsoft support center that deals with this error because I constantly get a 403 error.

I also reset IE but nothing works?

Does anyone have any ideas?

I am using Vista Home Premium
antivirus: Avast
Windows firewall
Windows Defender
Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 8.0

    So I'm answering myself:
    After spending 6 hours on the computer, I found the solution:

    I simply restarted the Livebox, which hadn't realized that I was using IE 8!!!!!

    This may be useful to someone.
