How to unlock a secured PDF file? Solved

Hello,

I would like to be able to highlight and add annotations to a PDF file that I downloaded using PDF XChange Viewer.

Unfortunately, this file is secured and I cannot modify it. Is there a way to "bypass" this security?

For my part, and with PDF XChange Viewer, I simply save the PDF file under a new name. The software removes the protections by itself...

I simply saved my PDF file as a Word format and then saved my .doc file back to PDF format.

http://www.pdfdu.com/pdf-remove-restriction.aspx  works quite well too (not paid if size > 5 MB).
