Convert PAGES file to Word

Hello,

A friend gave me some documents (that he created using the Mac word processor: PAGES). I would like to convert these files so I can read them on my Windows Vista.

    It's very easy to convert a .pages document to PDF format on Windows:
    • just rename the file by changing the extension to .zip.
    • Then open it with a software like winrar,
    • which will offer to read it in "preview".


    And there you go! :-)

      Too great Laura! I just encountered this .pages format problem and I searched and searched... it's so simple, your answer to change it to .zip, but you had to have this simple, quick, and effective solution!

      Hello! I followed this method and it does work, but when I start the printing, the file is tiny right in the middle of the page... Is there another way?

      You just need to modify the scaling settings when you print. You select "fit to page". Thanks for the tip, Laura. Good to know.
