No spelling checker???

Hello,
I installed Scribus (on Windows XP) which seems to be a perfectly excellent DTP software... Except it doesn't have a spell checker!!!
Should I use a word processor, correct, before importing??? It’s a bit cumbersome as a maneuver!
Too bad, I’ll have to stay loyal to Publisher...
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.10

    Hi,

Alas, no, no spell checker... For my part, I mainly use OpenOffice, and Scribus for more specific things (PDF with bookmarks...).

    See you.

      Hello
Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, I wasn’t mistaken in Scribus’ menus: there is indeed no spell checker...
      Best regards

    Good evening,

OpenOffice.org Writer is a lot more "efficient" for writing text (notably its spell checker): you just need to import the file into Scribus afterward.

Even with MS Publisher, there is no spell checker because MS Word is the one used for writing texts.

      Hello OOoForum,
…I’m not sure there isn’t a spell checker in Publisher…, but Scribus is a thousand times more efficient for laying out text elements (but whether it’s Xpress or InDesign, texts are “rarely” entered directly in these page layout applications).
