Hello,
Many people are working via TSE on a thin client in our company. One of them wants to be able to use their USB key.
When it's plugged in, it lights up properly, but nothing appears in the computer.
Clarifications:
- users are simple users in the domain, they do not have rights.
- the 2 TSE servers are virtualized under VMware
- I did not find a USB device in the device manager of these VMs.
Do you have a solution regarding the use of a USB key via TSE (not RDP)?

Hello,
Do you use Remote Desktop Connection?
If yes, here’s the procedure to map drives or USB keys
- Launch the "Remote Desktop Connection"
- Click on "Options" to display the tabs
- In the "Local Resources" tab, click on the "More" box
- Finally, in the bottom box, expand the list of "Drives" and choose the drive letter to map
Just connect after that. It’s that simple.
If that’s not the issue, please detail what you want to do.

Problem solved
Solution:
So actually, just like for RDP, there was the option to map local drives from the embedded software of the thin client.
I hadn't noticed it; I just had to check the necessary option and everything is fine.

I'm digging up the subject a bit, but you never know, you might have the solution.
I have the same problem as you; I can't get users to access their USB drives in RDP. I already tried your workaround, but it's not working either; it doesn't map ANY local drives in RDP. I checked the GPO, but apparently everything is fine. Any idea to help me?

No, it's not working either, I've tried a bit of everything but I can't see anything (the lightweight clients are WYSE).
When I'm in "local," the key works fine, I can access it, but as soon as I switch to the TSE session, I can't see anything, not even the C:. -
Which model of WYSE?
If we have the same ones, I can check on the embedded client. -
Does VXO ring a bell for you? I don't see anything else that could match. And since I've just joined the company, I don't know much more...

I have personal SXO. When your client starts, is there a countdown before connecting to the TSE server?
If so, do an ALT+F4 during that countdown. You log in as Administrator, with no password, and enter admin mode.
Then, if I remember correctly, you go to Security (or Sécurité depending on the language ..) and there it seems you have the option to Activate or Enable USB keys.

Hello, I have another problem with the Wyse. I can see the key, but it tells me that I do not have the rights to read or write on the key. I have properly raised it on the TSE, I have checked the boxes, but I am missing some rights.
