Printer that prints only every other line

Hello,

I have a Canon i 560 printer, and lately it was printing, but the page remained blank. Today, I tried to print, and this time, it only prints every other line.
Could you please let me know what I should do to get it to print correctly again?

    ""...every other sentence": I suppose you mean "...every OTHER LINE", right?
    I really wonder how a printer could know where a sentence ends, while the line....
    That said: it is REALLY every other line from top to bottom: if there are 24 lines written, you get the 1st, the 3rd, the 5th.....?

      Yes, it's more "every other line" that I mean..
      For example, I write:

      aaaaaaaaaaa
      ooooooooooo
      cccccccccccc
      uuuuuuuuuu

      well, it only prints the line of "o" and the line of "u".
      I don't know if it's clearer!

      Oh and also, I add that it only happens with the black ink cartridge, because with the other cartridges everything prints.

      Phew, I "understand" better: I thought your printer was "haunted"....! ;)

      I think we might need to "align the print heads", that's all I can see that could cause this kind of "thing", unless the black ink head has a defect....
