Bluetooth issue with Sony MEX-BT2500

Question

Hello,I have a Sony MEX-BT2500 car radio and I can't connect my mobile phone to the car radio. However, the Bluetooth on the car radio is activated and every time my phone says no peripheral detected.What should I do?Thank you.

For me, (MEX-BT3800), I had the same issue... The documentation says to hold the BT button for 5 seconds to activate pairing... In reality, you need to hold the button until the "BT" icon starts flashing... Only then can you search with your phone.

Hoping that this is the solution...

However, avoid getting a connects2 adapter (steering wheel control + display) sold at nortoto. The steering wheel control part is perfect, but the display only shows radio information (no CD, BT, IPOD, or USB)

Same here I'm not sure whether I should be worried or reassured that I'm not the only one facing this problem. In my case, it's with a Sony MEX-BT3800 car radio.  Have you found a solution?

I was able to test the solution mentioned above and it works perfectly!
You need to keep pressing the main button until the Bluetooth icon starts blinking.
The iPhone immediately recognizes the car radio to pair.

Hello everyone,

I have an iPhone 3GS and an iPhone 4 and I have the same problem with both: pairing is fine, the mp3s play perfectly, but when I make or receive a call, there's no sound???!!!
The radio does turn off, the car radio indicates hf on (hands-free on) but there's no sound!!

If someone can help me, that would be really cool!!!

To pair a phone, you need to turn off the car radio, then press and hold the BT button until the BT light starts flashing. Then search for XPLOD on your phone. And there you go!
