Hello,
I sweated to shorten my metal bracelet and I noticed this:
1) two types of pins (with a central overpiece or on the edge) so don’t confuse them when you’ve removed extra links and close the bracelet by putting a pin back in. (I had to take the pin with the thicker center and I inserted it into the link by the MIDDLE)
2) the links are not all the same (wider near the watch, narrower near the clasp), so you must ensure you only flip the "normalized" links (same width on both sides).
3) one of the pins (near the clasp) is a spring pin. mine flew across the room when I removed it. Given its size I had trouble locating it.
4) I used a very small nail with a flat end filed down as a pin punch and I held it with a small plier so I wouldn’t smack my fingers with the hammer.
5) beware, it’s high-precision work. A small vice with jaws protected by a cloth seems indispensable.
6) put the residues (links and pins, even if bent) in a small food-grade bag with the instruction sheet, in case ...
Good luck, don’t forget good safety glasses and a light spot, and have your wife go shopping.-

Thank you for the guidance. I did manage to remove several links. But, while I thought it was about separating them by sliding the pins that connected them, it was sufficient to open them with a knife, remove those of the same width, and close these links with pliers. It is necessary to first remove the pins (springs). But be careful, I have lost one of these pins. Because of its small size, I couldn’t find it. In the meantime, I used a section of a paperclip. Thanks phoenix 3000.
