Timeshift issue on Samsung SH 873

Hello,

I just bought a Samsung SH 873 DVD recorder with a hard drive.
I have a Samsung LCD TV and Canalsat with the DualS decoder as my only video source (I don't have an antenna, so no DTT).
My problem is that the Timeshift function (live pause) doesn't work. I previously had an LG hard drive DVD recorder that worked very well.

Does anyone have a solution for me?

The manual is not very clear on the subject.
Is it a connection issue, a recorder issue, or am I just not pressing the right buttons?

Hi, indeed you cannot use the time shift function on an AV source, however the technique is to press record and then play. However, you will need to delete the video at the end of the usage.
