Solved

Hello,
I have been using Skype for a short time, and I communicate with my contacts via video. I took photos of my correspondents during the conversation, and afterwards I don't know how to find these photos on the hard drive. Thank you in advance to anyone who solves my problem.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Copy and paste this in the run dialog:
    %appdata%\Skype\Pictures

    And it should work fine.

      Hello everyone

1- How to change the destination directory of "snapshot"
      C:\Documents and Settings\%User%\Application Data\Skype\Pictures

2- Also change its format from "png" which is large to "jpg".

Thank you for your responses, Skype pros.

Hi!! I found a much simpler solution!!!
So, when you open Skype, go to the Skype tab,
then in that tab go to profile and avatar (you'll see all the available avatar options plus your photos at the end!!)
    there you go,

A little after the battle, anyway... You need to think about setting the show hidden files option in the control panel/folder options, and then you'll find the magic folder mentioned above. The names and paths vary depending on the version of Windows... make a nice shortcut to that folder and finally, don’t forget to uncheck 'Do not show hidden files' to maybe avoid some mishaps ;)

pouche09. I had the same problem. But follow the solution given at the top: you press "ctrl+alt+del" and, in the "applications" tab, you click on "new task", and there you type "%appdata%\Skype\Pictures". You cannot find the folder any other way because it must be hidden (unless you change your folder options to make the folder visible).

I have an answer to your question, it's very easy.
Open the window SKYPE, click on Skype, on profile to go to AVATAR.
A window appears IMAGE LIBRARY, place the pointer over the right arrow to scroll through the photos. Click on the desired photo and save it; be careful afterwards you need to convert the file format.
    GOOD LUCK

Well, search in your own hard drive and there will surely be a folder in your images named skype 214 or 451 something like that. After that, look at the reference of your photo and on the skype site, type in the search for the reference of your photo. There you go, I hope this will help you! Kisses!

    Hi,

Since the last update of Skype, the destination folder for photos has changed, in other words, when I take a photo with Skype it no longer sends it to the Skype pictures folder. Does anyone happen to know how to change the destination folder??

I asked on the Skype forum but it's been two months and I'm still waiting for a response -_-'

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me

    Hello!

When you go on Skype, you need to go to VIEW, then you'll see PHOTO GALLERY and click on it. Then all your photos will appear. If you want to see where the photos are saved on your computer, click at the bottom right on BROWSE and there you go!!!

    Open your Skype
    Go to the "view" tab
    Then "Photo gallery"
You'll see the photos and yours that you've probably set as your avatar.
Click on the first photo and it will appear larger on your screen.
At the bottom right, click on "BROWSE" and all the photos will display.
Select them and "copy" then paste them into your "image" folder or anywhere you want.
After that, you can convert them to jpeg if you want, it doesn't matter.

I had the same problem; you go on Skype, then to your profile, right-click and you'll see a selection appear. Click on "avatar" and you'll see the photos taken. Click on the photo, it enlarges, then right-click and copy it either to my documents, my photos, or my desktop. I hope I was clear, you'll see it's very simple.
    Good luck!
