Hello,
I would like to get help with a new problem.
Last night, I tried to format my external hard drive because of a small issue.
This morning, shock: my computer shows this message: Disk I/O error.
What can I do?
Ask me any questions you want to help me.
Thank you in advance.
Sandra.

Hello to you. Do you boot from a floppy disk, or have you left one in your drive? If so, remove it.
Do you only have the disk I/O error message? Or do you also have a message like ntldr is missing?
If you boot from something other than your hard drive (remember to change the boot order in your BIOS) it means the medium you’re trying to boot from isn’t a system medium.
Try booting from the Windows CD and attempt a repair.
