Hello, the software aviméca refuses the video sequences converted to avi (xvid) and gives me the message "unable to find the decompressor vids:xvid" thank you for your help
Hello I encountered the same issue with Avimeca, which does not recognize this type of codec. Rather, use a standard DivX codec recognized by Avimeca (for example, using the SUPER V2010 video converter). Best regards
I don't know this software, Aviméca, but it seems I have already helped someone with similar software. I'm not sure at all.
Perhaps the XviD codec is not supported by this software. If the video files are not very large, you can try converting your file with VirtualDub without compression, which means choosing uncompressed RGB/YCbCr in the video settings. I think, perhaps mistakenly, that the audio does not matter with this type of software. There you go, it's just a suggestion, I have no certainty whether it will work or not.
Additionally, you can recover a video on this page: http://www.physique-appliquee.net/tice/tutoriels/avimeca/images/Recuperer_la_video.html The video codec (the audio is in PCM) used is "Cinepak by Supermac," which can be found... here: http://www.probo.com/cinepak.htm or there: https://www.free-codecs.com/download/cinepak_codec.htm I think the codec "by Supermac" or "by Radius" should be similar. Funny, I also have this codec "Cinepak by Radius" configurable in VirtualDub on my machine. I don't know where I got it from anymore ;) I also saw that it is present in this software: http://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/telecharger 34055237 riva flv encoder
So, you can try either, as I said at the beginning without guarantee of success, either download "Cinepak by Radius" and encode your file using VirtualDub.

Hello, I too had the same problem, so I downloaded the video converter SUPER V2010, but I still can't get my videos to play on aviméca. Could you please guide me on the steps to follow? Thank you in advance.

You need to install the sdl.codec.pack.2.2. To convert videos to AVI, I was advised to use Format Factory Video, which is great.
