Merge 2 videos side by side into 1

Question

Hello, I want to join two videos side by side so that I can watch them at the same time (in a single window) as one video. I can't find any answers on Google. Thank you very much for your help.

Hi,

with Stereo Movie Maker, it's super simple:
-menu "File" "Open left/Right Movies"
-you choose the first video
-you choose the second video
-menu "File" "Save Stereo Movie"
-you give a name to your file, and you check the "side by side" option
-then you choose a video compression format
... and that's it

I have Windows Movie Maker 2.6, and I was told that you can combine videos into a single video with Movie Maker? Magix Video can do that for sure, and there are others, but I didn't know Movie Maker could do it. If that's the case, could you explain to me how to do it with Movie Maker? Mine is in French ^^! Hello  With Stereo Movie Maker it's super easy, but you have to be careful with the conversion, otherwise you end up with two files instead of one?,,,,

Once the software is installed, it can be found under:

Video > Video Editing > Video only.

Putting several videos together is called concatenation.

For those who have video codec issues (notably H264 FFOURC, when trying a Side-by-side with 2 AVI files), download this file (which I found by following the information from the FFOURC site when I had the problem with Stereo Movie Maker)

It's an executable, I don't know much about it but as far as I understand, it's an encoder and decoder (I’m not too sure what that means) but well, when installing the executable, I checked all the boxes during the first prompt (before installation):

And after the installation, it asks which file formats it should be able to decode; I checked almost everything. So check those that seem necessary to you.

Finally, after closing and restarting Stereo Movie Maker, everything was fine for all types of formats.
