Hercules webcam driver

Hello, same question...
I uninstalled the drivers, downloaded the new Windows 7 special driver from their website... yet when I run the exe, it crashes halfway through saying that my version of "Windows is not supported" (or not recognized, not sure of the exact phrase) yet the download on their website clearly states that Win 7 is included... any ideas? Could I have uninstalled the drivers incorrectly?

Suite de la webcam qui ne veut pas s'ouvrir après le démarrage de l'ordinateur. Le magasin Surcouf ne veut pas la changer, elle fonctionne chez eux mais avec XP SP2, et moi je suis en XP SP3... Mais cela n'a pas eu l'air d'interroger le SAV...
Donc que puis-je faire pour qu'elle fonctionne correctement ? Sinon, en acheter une autre d'une marque différente et dans un magasin différent ?

The installation must be done with the camera not plugged in...
Which OS did you install it on?? Is it XP SP1 or Vista SP1 (note that for XP the latest version is SP3 and for Vista SP2...
What OS is your CD designed for??
What are the references for the camera???

Hello, my aunt bought a Hercules Cam and I'm trying to install it, but the microphone driver won’t install. The computer says unknown device. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it several times, but the problem persists. Can someone help me, please?

I can only advise downloading the latest drivers from the Hercules website
https://support.hercules.com/en/
to completely uninstall everything before reinstalling.
Note that oddly... there are drivers for Vista and XP SP2..... but not SP3???
If you're still having trouble, the best thing to do is to ask Hercules....

After installing and uninstalling the Hercules 2.9 driver; including the 2.8 driver through download (same problem): the webcam is now recognized after starting the computer!
The Hercules website advises me to use a powered USB hub.
So it's resolved. Thank you for your response.

I installed it on Windows XP SP2, I followed the installation procedures to the letter but it works on another computer, it installs without problem, but here the microphone drivers just won't install.
Thanks for the link, I downloaded the drivers but still the same issue.
I don't understand anything xD is it due to a multi USB? (an adapter to have a few more USB ports)

Is it May for unrecognized or incorrectly installed device?
I tried to update the drivers but it's still the same, only the microphone won't install.
What I've noticed is that on another computer everything installs and it works fine.
So I suspect it's the USB hub, but is there a way to download just the drivers for the microphone? If so, how?

Yes, only the microphone appears and when I test it, it doesn't respond normally since it's not installed but I already uninstalled it and reinstalled it, nothing works that's why I would need the drivers for the microphone only.
P.S.: No, I didn't plug in the camera before installation but once it asks to plug in the camera, I do and that's when the new hardware addition page appears, according to the manual it is supposed to disappear, but it remains and when I try the installation via Windows, it puts it in unknown devices (?)
What I'm going to do is completely uninstall it from the system, connect it directly to the computer and install it again, I'll keep you updated if I manage to get it working ^^

No, there's nothing to do, I'm going to load SP3 and we'll see if that changes anything.

I bought the Hercules Classic Silver cam today...

My PC is a Vista, I tried to install it with the installation CD (version 2.8.1) and when the computer indicates that I can plug in the USB... it doesn’t recognize the device...

I went to:

to install the drivers... same problem!

And when I go to the control panel to uninstall, it restarts the installation but doesn't give me the option to uninstall...

I think I got scammed on the product, but if you have a solution to suggest, I’m all ears!

I "inherited" (not through death) the classic silver Hercules webcam from my sister, and for a few months, I had installed a driver provided on Hercules' technical support, so far, so good.
But for the past three days, the camera hasn't displayed a single image and crashes MSN and Skype when I start a video call.
While searching online, I looked at things that could explain this problem, I uninstalled MSN and Skype, reinstalled them, uninstalled the camera driver, installed the latest version, and nothing changed:
Black image, active microphone, crashing MSN and Skype when starting a video...

Can someone help me?
