Good evening,
Well, I already posted a message, but actually the situation has changed. So I am on XP, I have a wireless infrared keyboard and mouse, and the infrared module is USB. My BIOS is Award, and while trying to install Linux, I realized that my keyboard is not usable during the BIOS. I need a keyboard plugged into the purple port (what's it called?). But I was told that by pressing a key, I could access the BIOS. Miracle, by pressing <F8>, I can access a menu. The problem is that the keyboard is not responding anymore! I can access this menu, but I can't interact with it. I need to go in there to change an option called "keyboard" so that the keyboard is active when the PC starts. Otherwise, with LINUX I can't choose the desired language, it remains by default in English, which bothers me a bit, but mainly, I have an AZERTY keyboard so the A is swapped with the Q, and the Z with the W. Anyway, I don't know why the keyboard isn't responding in the BIOS menu. Thank you for your help, if you can help me ..

Good evening,
You need to enable USB detection in the BIOS. But the problem is,
that we navigate in the BIOS using the arrow keys.
What's curious is that the F8 key is generally for safe mode.
Are you sure you entered the BIOS?
Usually, it's F1, F2, F10, or the delete key.
I would also advise starting with a Linux live CD to get familiar with it or installing it on another partition of your hard drive.
It's not necessarily at the beginning, depending on the distribution you have.

Hello, not long ago I had a blue screen, I restarted my PC and it shows F10, Esc, F11, and F9. I press all the keys on my keyboard but it doesn’t respond, so I bought a new keyboard and it doesn't respond either. What should I do? Thank you for replying, please.
