How to disable EDGE on the iPhone 3G

Hello,
I have had an iPhone 3G since December 29th
so I bought the iPhone with the plan at 49 euros, which is way too expensive for me. In January, I called Orange to tell them they made a mistake and I switched to the plan at 15 euros for me, which includes either 40 minutes or 150 SMS, "Blocked Zap plan." Now my plan runs out in less than 3 days because the internet connection costs 50 cents, which means 4 connections a day, and I made the mistake of downloading games that require updates... so I'm looking to disable the internet without turning it off, just deactivating it and reactivating it when I need it
if someone can help me!!!!!!!!
