UNDF format in VLC

Solved

Hello,
In general, I can manage on my own, but right now, I'm stuck.
I have 2 videos in flv format, which VLC usually plays fine, but I'm getting an error before playback:

VLC probably does not support the audio or video format "undf".

I've tried Kaffeine, and after searching Google for the error message, I found forums discussing mac where they mention the "mkv" format relating to the same error. I attempted to re-encode to "avi" using ffmpeg and Mencoder, but I'm encountering an error with the codecs used.
Thanks in advance if you have a solution.

Edit: I also tested these same two videos on a Windows PC with VLC, and there, it works.

Have a good day.

It hasn't solved my problem because I have the same issue, and Wine may not be compatible with Windows 7 because it doesn't recognize the Wine software extension.
Help me resolve this same problem.

      Hello,

Wine is a software used on a GNU/Linux distribution to run Windows applications.

If you are on Windows 7, then you should ask your question in the Windows forum.

      Good evening everyone,
I have a little problem regarding the playback of a video "DRAGON QUEST.iso". I can't seem to play it with VLC; could someone provide me with a solution? Thank you in advance.
      Best regards.

Attila, it's normal that you can't read an ISO file with VLC since ISO is an image format, so you need to use daemon tools to mount the file as a drive or burn it.

Hello, and thank you for your response,
      actually, I hadn't thought of it, but...with wine it's functional :)
The first links point to CrossOver, which seems to be a good installation support, unfortunately in shareware.

Issue resolved so => wine => vlc and everything is fine.
Thank you again, I hadn't considered a wine virtual desktop, it's so simple that I feel bad :).

      Have a nice day.

The new version of VLC (2.2.3) has resolved the issue.

I took an old version of VLC, version 1.03, and the two movies that were giving me trouble play perfectly.

Problem solved (at least in my case)

I always had this error in VLC.
My files were compressed, and I was using 7-zip to decompress them. Normally it extracts anything, but this time, it really needed WinRar.

So check if it's a compressed file and what its extension is.
