Hello, thank you for helping me!
I have a problem. After creating several slideshows, the one I'm working on doesn't start and stays stuck on the first page.
In the DIAPORAMA/Define animation option, the right-hand panel is grayed out and remains inactive.
I can't activate it even after resetting the toolbar.
What can I do?

    Hi,
According to what I understand from your message, the slideshow does not start at all.

    1. to be safe, check that your file is not read-only.
    2. To run a slideshow, when the timing is not predefined, you have to click the left mouse button to go to the next image.
    3. To set the timing, go to the Slideshow menu, choose Timing Verification. that launches the slideshow and you must press the arrow key to advance to the next image when you want. this is how you define the duration of each slide.

If none of that helps, let me know
    see you later

      OK! Thanks for your reply!
I'm doing a test and I'll see if it works....
Because here, honestly, I'm starting to crack.

      Hey, here I am again!
      Okay, I checked, my file isn’t read-only.
Next, I’m doing what you said for the timing option. Ughhhhhh !!!
      it doesn’t work.
I think it has something to do with the "Predefine animation" function in the Slideshow tab. This option is disabled (the right-hand menu that opens is greyed out). Yet, this option was enabled previously. And I can’t modify it in the menu.
The thing is that even if I want to create a new document starting from PowerPoint, it’s the same thing. And there you have it, it’s a nightmare!!!
      Thanks to you!

I can’t find Predefine animation in my version of PowerPoint "OFFICE XP".
but I have Customize animation. It is also grayed out when I have no element selected. This option customizes the animation of text or photos independently of the slides. That's not where you should look.

Try copying your slides into a new document to verify that your file isn’t damaged. and start the slideshow of the new document to see if it works.

      Hi again!
In the end, what I did, because it was starting to drive me crazy, I uninstalled and reinstalled PowerPoint, which apparently found all its colors again (lol), and so far it’s working. Let’s hope it lasts!!!
      Thanks again

I was working on PowerPoint and while making edits and after removing my USB key, I can’t open it now.

    Hello
I just moved to PowerPoint 2007 and I can't find the "set preset animation" function that existed in earlier versions. I want to apply an animation to all my slides at once, not one by one.
    Does this function exist?
    Thanks for your help
