Good evening, geniuses!
I connected 2 PCs via a crossed RJ45 network cable, I’ve done all the settings, but when I ping, it works only in one direction. PC1 recognizes PC2 and PC2 does not recognize PC1. Help!!!

Good evening,
Since the ping works in one direction, it should also be able to ping the other side.
Since it doesn’t ping, I suggest you check the firewall you installed to see if it blocks the pings, but especially if you’re on XP or Vista, disable the built-in firewall!
Start => Settings => Network connections => Right-click Local Area Connection => Advanced then Settings. There you’ll see the XP firewall, you just need to disable it!
If it still doesn’t work, I suggest you provide your configuration (OS, and firewall installed on your machine) of the PC that can ping the other PC but cannot be pinged.

Hi,
no big deal,
check the firewall on PC1 (icmp echo).
