I may be a bit late, but to open the .sfv you take your .001 file and open it with Winrar (or another one, I haven't tested) and there, magic...
.SFV
The sfv files are not archive files, let alone CD images
However, they often accompany archives or other containers
The .sfv is an integrity check file, which is used solely to verify the good condition and presence of the files that have been referenced in the .SFV itself. For this, a specific program is used (search with a search engine).
The .sfv is a text file
Nothing more

Hi
I can tell you that opening the first file named .001 with winrar works very well; inside you'll find the bin and cue files for burning with clone or nero or other
there you go
;)

Use SFV Checker to check all your RAR and Magic files against your ISO
#SFV Checker# uses CRC-32 technology to verify each file and alerts you if there are any missing files, incorrect sizes, corrupted files, or potentially bad ones, saving you hours of downloading only to find out that you have a missing file or that the last file doesn't work.
The CRC value comparison is done using a standard SFV file. If that is not available, you can drag and drop the file onto the list preview to produce the calculated CRC value. An information report is generated after scanning the files, which indeed provides a list of missing or incomplete files, as well as a summary of the archive. SFV Checker can also concatenate files in the list and rename multiple archives on the fly (for instance, renaming files that are named .001, .002, .003 to .rar, .r00, .r01).
SFV Checker supports file types RAR, ARJ, ACE, as well as all other binary/text formats.

Hi!
I downloaded a .rar file (a game in this case) that contains 39 files .001, .002, .003, etc... as well as a .sfv file.
I would like to know how I should proceed to get the .iso file so that I can clone it with Daemon Tools.
Thank you in advance.

Well, here's the solution!!!
For the Command and Conquer 3 folder, which contains the following files: flt-cnc3.001 to flt-cnc3.081 as well as the flt-cnc3.sfv file (which I remind you is useless), you just need to use Winrar and decompress the flt-cnc3.001 file, after which you will obtain the following file flt-cnc3.iso...
Bingo, all that's left is to use software like Daemon tools or magiciso!!!
Good evening everyone.

There is also the alternative 7-zip :
Select all your files (like: img-bge 001, img-bge 002, img-bge 003, ...) except the sfv file (which is only there to check if everything is in order). After this selection, right-click and with 7-zip: "extract files".

I don't think the SFV extension is the image of a CD; I believe that this type of file comes with a set of compressed files (*.R01, R02 .... or .part1.rar ......)
Hello,
Let's admit the truth guys.....Steff did a great job with his WinRAR idea....don't try to divert the situation with the .sfv...lol...rofl...hahahaaaa hihiiihihiiiiii!!!!! Very well thought out by the way, I'm jumping straight into FIFA 08....It's not bad!!!! And thanks again Steff

Hi everyone!
I had the same problem as many of you, except that I couldn't extract my .iso with winrar (corrupted archive, something like that)
I checked my .sfv with sfv checker, no anomalies.
I finally managed to reconstruct my file with Xtremsplit, it's quite simple and it works!

By the way, I'm on Kubuntu (Linux) and it's working perfectly!
