Samsung Laptop Boot Loop

Hello,

I have a little problem with a Samsung Q20 laptop...
(Windows XP)

When I press the power button to start, the PC displays a loading screen specific to the device along with a loading bar at the bottom, and when it reaches about ¾ of the loading, just 3 seconds later, the PC restarts by itself. And this process loops! I can access the BIOS, but I can't start in safe mode since I'm stuck on the startup screen to access the setup.

Do you have any ideas regarding this issue, please?
Thank you

Insist to be able to restart in safe mode, there’s definitely a way if you can get to the loading screen...

F2, F8, and other F keys... during startup until you find it and then you can do a system restore.

Keep us posted.

Re!
Well, I manage to access the menu to choose safe mode, but as soon as I select that mode or the "start with the last good configuration" mode, it goes to a black screen and restarts instantly!

I took it apart to check the RAM, but there’s only one stick, so I can't test to see if that might be the problem...

The thing is that I can't perform a system restore because of that, and otherwise it's a complete OS reinstallation, but I would like to avoid this solution because I think there are data to preserve on this machine (it doesn't belong to me). If I do, how can I go about it? Is there a way to save them??

It looks bad. Maybe you can recover the system using the installation CD.

Otherwise, if you can, take out the hard drive and recover your files before reinstalling. You should always do it this way (save on a different partition) and make regular backups.

Otherwise, try asking on the forums a bit more.

Yeah, I'm actually going to try to bring my Ultimate Boot CD tomorrow morning to test the RAM with Memtest because I really have doubts about the RAM. Otherwise, why not your method, but as a last resort if I have no choice...
Thanks for your help. I'll keep you updated!
