Hello,
I'm taking advantage of your mention of the mpix 358HD to bring up my problem since I don't have a solution for yours, sorry...
I also got this hard drive for Christmas and my issue is that when I connect it to my TV, it displays "no files found" even though I've already put some movies, songs, and photos in avi, mp3, and jpeg format. I transferred everything from a MacBook. If anyone has an explanation, I thank you in advance.

I just bought this multimedia HDD, and I also happen to be on a Mac.
I immediately connected the HDD to my MacBook Pro, it mounted on the desktop, and I copied my files.
No problem, it reads .avi, .jpg, .mp3, but it doesn't read .png photos or m4v movies (mp4 encoded in H264)
Note that a Command+i on the HDD indicates that it is formatted in FAT32, so do not reformat it to NTFS or anything else.
If this mistake has been made, use the setup button on the remote to access the menu, scroll down to "disk tool," and reformatted the entire disk.
Then, drop your files back in bulk, or by creating folders "MOVIES," "PHOTOS," "MUSIC," and "FILES"
Also, be careful in the menu not to choose 1080i mode at random, it all depends on how the HDD is connected to the TV (Composite or HDMI) and apparently, after testing, it also depends on the source!
That's what I can say for now
Best regards

Hello everyone,
Here's my issue with my mpix 358HD external hard drive: it takes an incredibly long time to transfer files. For example, a 700 MB DivX movie takes 3 hours and 45 minutes... =/ . The problem is that it starts sending the information to the hard drive and then suddenly stops sending the files, and that's it... either I wait 4 hours or I turn it off, but when I turn it off, it crashes Windows and I have to reboot using the button.
I should point out that it was originally FAT32 and had this problem, and I reformatted it to NTFS but still have the same issue...
Thank you in advance for your help!

Hello, thanks for your response
I posted on Storex customer support about the hard drive issue, and they replied: "Enjoy your after-sales service" ... The problem is that it works perfectly on my other PC ... I asked a friend, and he replied that it might be either a bug with our USB ports or a bug with our motherboard ... So I'm waiting to see other responses or solutions
Thanks in advance

First of all, make sure that the television is set to the right channel to view the data from the Storex hard drive
(SET THE TV TO AV CHANNEL)
My personal problem is that I created two slideshows using Photostory 3 on Windows, I finalized them into Windows Media video, I copied them onto my Storex hard drive, but I can't play them on my TV.
Does anyone have a solution to let me know what I need to do to properly play my videos on my TV screen... thanks in advance.
Supported formats: Video - Avi, Xvid, MPEG, and VOB
Audio - MP3, WMA
There's only one solution for you, convert your video.
I confirm the supported formats:
Supported formats: Video - Avi, Xvid, MPEG, and VOB
Audio - MP3, WMA
Several free converters are available:
free video converter
internet video converter
But I just have a doubt regarding AVI5, as the codec does not seem to be implemented in the product.
Can someone confirm?
I also have a doubt about the maximum supported resolutions for video.
Thank you for your answers.
Try what I indicate in my response below.
Go through the HDD menu to reformat it.
