Installation issue DDmultimedia mpix 358hd

Hello,
for Christmas I was given a multimedia hard drive, the Storex mpix 358HD, but when I try to install it, I launch the application and I get a message "copy file error". Then, by clicking "ok", another message appears "the USB Storage driver has been installed completely".
So the problem is that my PC detects that I have plugged something into a port, but I can't find it :(
Thank you for trying to resolve this issue.
Happy end of year celebrations!
P.S: Thank you for not paying attention to the spelling mistakes ^^
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello

I also got a mpix 358 hd from Santa Claus, and I have exactly the same problem; my PC recognizes a connection, but there's nothing on the computer.

Hello

No need to be a tech genius to use this multimedia HDD. It’s broken, and I brought mine back to the store to have it exchanged. It’s that simple. Have it checked by customer service before bringing it home, and then its use is ultra-simple.

Hi, I just treated myself to it. In fact, the mpix is recognized as a USB stick, so you just manage it as such.

Good evening
If it were that simple, I would have figured it out!!!! However, here's the thing: it didn't even show up on the desktop, OOPS§§ the bottom line is that this multimedia hard drive was out of order.
