LaCie Blue Eye Pro V4 software won't open anymore.

Hello,

Could you tell me if you've encountered this problem and if a solution exists, because I can no longer calibrate my screen.
The software for my LaCie Blue Eye Pro V4 probe no longer opens under Mac OSX 10.5.6, and a window tells me: The blue eye pro v4 application has unexpectedly quit. I click RELAUNCH, which I do, then a new window asks if I want to reset and relaunch, which I do, but then I return to the message that the blue eye pro v4 application has unexpectedly quit.
Can someone help me? Thank you.
Configuration: Mac OS X Firefox 3.0.5

    WOW and yet WOW!!!
With a combination of the file names, we finally arrived at this:

    http://www.lacie.com/download/blueeye/blueeyepro4/BlueEyePro.4.5.1_Install_Windows.zip

which is version 4.5.1 for Windows!

Thanks again to all of you for the help.

Of course, this thread is still among my favorites.

The new version of the LaCie software takes into account incompatible video cards and thus makes automatic calibration possible. Phew.

    Merci Copirate :-(

    Good evening,

Try to find the preferences file for this software and throw it in the trash. Its name probably starts with com.lacie and likely ends with .plist. This file should be located in your user folder (little house) > Library > Preferences. Restart the software... Result?

    Best regards.

Thank you for your response, but unfortunately, I can't find the LaCie preferences in the user folder, no com.lacie or any files ending with .plist.

    Good evening,

I assume you are talking about this program. The page in question redirects to technical support via access to a previously created account or one to be created. Isn't your version too old for Leo?

    See you later.

    Hello,
I’m a bit late and with bad news on top of that....
I have exactly the same problem: Mac OS 10.5.6, Blue Eye pro, G5 PPC, LaCie screen and the software crashes when I try to start it.
After contacting LaCie support, the response is:
It's Mac OS 10.5.6 that causes issues with screens that manage DDC-CI (LaCie, Nec...) The only solution is to downgrade to 10.5.5 or wait for a future fix from Apple.
    Not cool!

Same problem with Blue eye pro, quad G5 and 10.5.6
I installed the software but it crashes after a few seconds. Impossible to calibrate the screen 324.
LaCie directed me to the latest 4.2.2 but same issue. I sent them a note from a US forum about the problem. They say it’s related to the G5 ???
I haven't tried it on 10.5.5. I will do that.
Everything works fine on the MacBook Pro.

same problem... clearly, it's really taking the mickey out of everyone

I'm also waiting for a response from LaCie's technical support

if we all talk about this problem to technical support, it will eventually make a difference - so let's get moving! Otherwise, we'll be forced to invest in another calibrator... what a drag...

Blue eye pro (PE or not) (1.0.2 in PE or 4.2.2 in non-PE) is not compatible with 10.5.6; everything needs to be reinstalled on 10.5.5. (Create a special partition). They have no intention of making an effort and are telling me to wait for a new version of the system....

Dear users of G5, LaCie, BlueEyePro, and 10.5.6, let's not fool ourselves. We represent too few people (the G5) to establish a strong position.
What I personally know is that aside from the quality of LaCie screens, there is no follow-up effort, and my next screens will be neither LaCie nor Nec.
As for the shortcomings of Macs regarding this issue, it's just another stone in the garden of those who believe they are increasingly indifferent to professionals. But do we have a choice? Would it be wise to switch to Vista for those who still have hair?

        Hello
Same issue: G5 Quad, 10.5.6 screen 324 and Blue Eye Pro
LaCie finally sent me a sort of update 4.5
so the software works, calibration, etc.
with probably a few functions missing

      Hi Copirate
Unfortunately, I can't reopen the ticket sent by LaCie.
In any case, the temporary app that works on 10.5.6 on G5 is called Blue eye pro v4.5d and is 29.5 MB.
Can I upload it to an FTP?

It's simple, you go back to "My account", then "Support ticket" and under the bookmarks on the right, you click on "View all" and there you go. You're lucky because I only have this version: http://www.lacie.com/download/blueeye/blueeye-pro/macintosh/blue_eye_pro_4.2.2.dmg

      Hello Copirate
Here is the link to the laCie software for now 10.5.7
      http://www.lacie.com/download/blueeye/blueeyepro4/BlueEyePro.4.5.1_Mac.mpkg.zip

Previously, I had created a partition on the hard drive and installed 10.5.5 on my Quad, and now Blue Eye pro 4.2.2 works, but when transferring the ICC profile, we do not benefit from the hardware calibration...
      Best regards

I also created a partition 10.5.5, but it doesn't work on my Mac Pro from December, so I went through a PowerBook laptop. Otherwise, the hardware calibration is done automatically on the screen, so I just need to transfer the profile and it should normally give the same result as a direct calibration. I think...

[Thank you, gentlemen, for using French in this forum. If you need an English site, you can use this one.]

I'm sorry, but this is the only forum where I found useful information about where to download the Blue Eye Pro software
    Unfortunately, I don't speak French.
If possible, I would like to reiterate my request: does anyone have the link to download the PRO version and Windows PE?

    Thank you again to all.

You're welcome ;-) but... there's a second small problem: this forum is about Mac OS and skills for Windows are rarer. The specialized forum is here.

    See you later!

Hello Chris, I understand that this forum is for Mac users, and I own a Mac. I published my request here probably because those who downloaded the Mac updates from the LaCie website can also download for Windows. So, this shouldn't be a support call for Windows, but a request to post the link for the drain. It seemed more logical to go with my request here instead of opening a new thread in another forum.
Thank you all, especially those who will help me find the software...

French translation made by Google... sorry :-)

WOW copirate, thank you very much!
I hadn't noticed your message was so short...

    @ Chris
I use Google to translate from Italian to French, as I am Italian. I can read in French without any problem, but please don't ask me to write...

Thank you all guys, now I'm just missing the PRO version.

      There's no problem :-)
I know the same thing in the other direction. French and Italian are sister languages.

Goodbye and nice to meet you.

This is the pro version; the PE version only adds a test at the end but doesn't add anything to the settings.
