Hello,
A few days ago I placed an order online, I chose Chronopost for delivery.
I received an email saying that I would receive my package on December 19...
It’s the 21st and still nothing.
Yesterday I received an email from Chronopost (delivery tracking), telling me: ""Delivery attempted but recipient absent. For further details, refer to the delivery notice"
Problem: I was home the entire time, no one came by, and there was no delivery notice!!!!
I plan to go to the post office Monday morning to find out what's going on and if they have my package, but is it possible without a delivery notice??
Thanks in advance

Here is my problem with Chronopost like many of you I feel:
On the tracking it says "shipment in progress"
On the day itself: The delivery person does not come and does not leave a delivery notice (of course)
This is the second time in a row that CHRONOPOST has pulled this on me.
I believe that the delivery person in this case must certainly be running late, seeing that they will not have time to deliver to you, they claim you were absent, and do not leave you a nice delivery notice, right!?
Chronopost is really TRASH and dishonest!!!

Thank you all for your advice.
This morning at 10:30 am I called Chronopost but had a hard time reaching them...
Then around 1:30 pm I was finally delivered...
For your information, here are the customer service numbers for Chronopost and Colissimo:
In any case, after reading everything I've read about Chronopost's service this is the first and last time I get delivered by them..

So I confirm that Chronopost is a pathetic service!
I ordered a package from LDLC on the 8th and as of the 17th: still nothing!
Supposedly the package was presented but I wasn't there (even though I was on vacation and present every day!), and this happened twice!!!
Living in Belgium: impossible to contact the Chronopost service and impossible to know where it is... really pathetic this system.
Now, it will be the 3rd time that they supposedly come to my place and I'm not there, so I presume my package will be returned to France!
Unfortunately, I had no choice when it was sent otherwise I would never have chosen CHRONOPOST and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
As mentioned above, the courier must not have passed (due to lack of time or not wanting to, who knows) and thus uses the client's absence as an excuse and re-packages the parcel.
The problem is that this company has no office in Belgium, so it's impossible to know where the package is, except that in 3 days it will surely be returned to the sender.
In short: CHRONOPOST = incompetent service, to be avoided at all costs.

Same here, yesterday I was stuck at home all day, and in the evening when I checked the tracking it said "Reason: Recipient closed or not accepting deliveries in the afternoon." I'm doing this again today and nothing. Chronopost SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS!
It happened to me the day before yesterday. I bought a heavy item that Chronopost was supposed to deliver for €27.90. I waited all day, no one rang the bell, and the "delivery person" left a "notice of passage" claiming that I was absent.
I complained, but no one at Chronopost can answer a question, and their phone line charges extra! They respond with "I can't do anything" or "it's not me" or "we can't do anything." Basically, pay and deal with it...
And I was forced to handle my own delivery by going to the post office to pick up my package. And I carried my 10 kilos in my arms.
I can't wait for all this to disappear with the competition that will accept to work!

Good evening,
I can understand the frustration of paying for a service that is not rendered to us, fair enough.
Although 10 Kg is not exactly a mountain, but let’s move on.
I concede that you didn’t encounter a delivery person doing a professional job.
But where I disagree with you, sir,
is on the fact that you are talking about a subject you know nothing about.
I run a small transport company and I have been in the business for 10 years, approaching a million kilometers as an express courier for companies like Chronopost, TNT..., the competition is already, VERY fierce; they compete by issuing calls for tender including all sorts of contractors, and that’s where the problem lies because for many, the employee is not declared, the insurances are not always up to date... and I could go on... this drives costs down, that’s for sure...
The principal contractors, such as these companies, therefore demand to drastically reduce the costs of work from which they free themselves...
On top of that, they make you pay a surcharge for the "increase" in diesel (even though since its implementation, diesel has long returned to its original price) these companies, sir, take you, the consumers, for cash cows and us, the subcontracting companies, for real slaves at their mercy (working hours of 10 - 12 hours a day, 6/7 for an hourly rate below the minimum wage are not uncommon), keep in mind that generally these people need to deliver to 80 to 100 clients before 1 PM (urban route of course)... 8 AM - 1 PM... just do a little linear calculation and you will see they don't have 5 minutes per client, it's crazy.
WORKING MORE TO EARN LESS?
Finally, all this to say, sir, that what you advocate, I hope inadvertently, is called social dumping as a professional practice because ultimately, in always aiming for more money under the guise of so-called competition, we end up with absurdities like you can see...
This is the response of a concerned worker who loves a job well done...
Sir, I salute you
JD

I also have a mailman who pulled that on me, said he had come by when in fact he never did!!!
If you come across a nice person at the Post Office and you have the date on which the mailman was supposed to deliver, they can check the receipts for pending packages (make sure to bring your ID that day).

I even stuck my code on my mailbox: notice of passage saying I was absent... They absolutely did not come to ring my doorbell. It's only going to get worse.

My friend has the same problem. Today I have to go to the post office again to pick up a package; this is the third time since the beginning of the year. Chronopost tells us they came by but "recipient absent"; you must be joking, they were definitely at our place, obviously no notice left, thank goodness we have the internet for tracking. (What do those who don’t have internet do?). This morning, I managed to contact Chronopost, I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked to be refunded for the service they did not provide; they told me it was the sender who was responsible. I contacted the sender, who told me I did well to notify them of the issues, they will send a letter to Chronopost and advised me to do the same. It's not so much the refund that interests me, but the work that is not done. We pay for services, so they should be followed up. My friend and I are very disappointed, we shouldn’t have to keep making complaints all the time, it’s becoming tedious over time.
Everyone send letters of complaint to Chronopost. Let's make ourselves respected.

The chrono should be at the post office if it was presented at the home address, but it is usually possible to track its progress online using the chrono number that we must have provided you; however, Chronopost deliveries are not handled by the post office but by an external service. Have a good evening and I still wish you a good reception of your package.
Hello everyone,
On Thursday I ordered my package and on Monday they told me I would receive it tomorrow (so Tuesday morning between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM) and since I’m young I have to go to class, so my mom stayed at home for the delivery and no one rang the bell, and there is no delivery notice.
On the website and by email they say that there was no recipient and that I would have to wait longer, do you think I will receive my package?? If so, which day do you think?? We are almost Wednesday.

For the date, it's simple; it was written the 19th, but in the last email, they said they came on the 20th...
By the way, I'm sorry, but what is CNI??

Good evening,
ID card: national identity card.
I think they are overwhelmed at the moment. So normally, they don't even bother to ring your doorbell, just imagine during the holidays... You just have to stand in line. Normally, they have set up a special parcel counter. It goes much faster. But you still need to have the delivery notice or you can bring your email with the parcel references.

yes, but the problem is that nobody came to my place to deliver the package, so it was not presented, and there was no delivery notice... they are clever!
and I have looked online at the tracking of my package, I wrote it above, and it says ""Delivery attempted but recipient absent. For further action, refer to the delivery notice" ....

You dealt with a clever one as you say, but even if he didn’t leave you a delivery notice and online the package is marked as held, it means the package is at your collection office. However, it must be acknowledged that this is not good work because even if he didn’t find you, he should have absolutely left a properly filled delivery notice in your mailbox. So wait until tomorrow, I’m sure the package is at the post office. Have a good evening.
I came across your message, but I've ordered several times online, and I can tell you that the others are not any better.
For example: I ordered some cards from the Atlas editions, and I was supposed to be delivered within the month.
One evening, when I got home, I found a package abandoned on the ground in front of my door.
That was my famous package. No one had come to have me sign anything, nor left a delivery notice.
Anyone could have taken my package, and I would have still paid for it.
For your information, the company that delivers for them is called ADREXO.
They don't have an office, and if your package is not the right one, or if it contains broken or damaged items from transport, you cannot refuse it.
And if you take it to the post office, you have to pay for the shipping!
If you go on the ADREXO website, everything seems fine, but it takes a long time to find out that you need to go to a parcel relay that serves ADREXO to return the rejected package.
They are required to do it, but they always try to dissuade you by saying that it’s not done.
In short, not any better.

Today he's pulling this on me; I was supposed to be delivered today, 11/13/09, but I didn't see the delivery person. I went downstairs several times to check the mailbox, and nothing! Not even a notice of attempted delivery. And tonight, when I checked the status of my order, I see the following message: "recipient absent.....see delivery notice..." I don't have a delivery notice. Tomorrow I'm going to go to the post office near my house to see if they have my package. They're really bastards!
Hello,
problem with Chronospot - delivery scheduled for Thursday - due to snow I wasn't informed but I understand that the delivery hasn't arrived. I called on Friday morning and was assured the delivery would come - I waited for nothing - I called back Friday afternoon and was told there was no problem, they'd deliver - nothing - I called Saturday morning and was told not to worry, it was coming this morning as the drivers had some delays due to the snow on Thursday - 12:30 nothing - I called “don't worry, it will arrive at the latest by 1:15 PM” I waited until 2 PM and no one - the standard was closed for the weekend - I called this morning at 7:45 AM - the response was that the delivery is scheduled for tomorrow - why tomorrow? Well, the drivers have already left - OK but my package has been with you since Thursday? Well........ big blank........ it's because of the snow...........good excuse my husband works 90 km from home and he was able to go to work on Friday.... yes but maybe the driver was delayed or couldn’t find it......... he's the only one in 6 years that wouldn't have found my address. There are only 70 residents.........; well, we're going to send an email to the agency that handles shipments and see if we can do something......... honestly, I believe they are making fun of people and are incapable of properly managing their shipments. What is certain is that from now on I will use other services. As smooth talkers, they really excel....... but that's all.

I waited for the delivery from Chronopost, which cost me a lot, since 7 a.m. yesterday.
Around 11 a.m., I clicked on "track my package" and learned, to my shock, that the delivery person claimed to have come to my home and that I would have been absent! FALSE!
I spent 2 hours on the phone between Chronopost and the sender (Pixmania), with each one directing me to the other and explaining that once the package was dropped off at the Post Office, it was impossible to ask Chronopost to retrace the route. I requested disciplinary action against the delivery person, and I was made to understand that I could forget it... The refund would be long and complicated, and if I wanted to receive the item I ordered from Pixmania, I would have to walk 2 kilometers to the Post Office, obediently wait in line, with the package number as my only proof, because the delivery person didn't even leave a notice of passage.
I assume he didn’t even bother to come to my address and dropped my package, along with many others from my town, directly at the Post Office.
I find this scandalous.
The package contains a gift for my son who is currently hospitalized, promised for today, and personally, I suffer from sciatica and I don’t have a vehicle. But do I have a choice to keep my promise to a sick child?
Our society is in crisis because large companies don't care about their customers.
THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT UNLESS THEY HAVE ALREADY PAID.

I am completely disappointed with Chronopost's service
I was supposed to receive a package on December 24th but, of course, NOTHING!! On the 25th, I checked the tracking of my order on the Chronopost website and surprise, I was told that I had been delivered, but here I am, I received nothing and not even a delivery notice from the delivery person!
So I called the website where I made my purchase, which confirmed that I had been delivered according to the famous Chronopost. I called Chronopost, which told me that yes, the delivery had been made and that the signature slip was signed.....
Either the delivery person stole my package? Or he handed my package to someone who has nothing to do with me since apparently they don't check the identity? What a lack of professionalism, it's incredible
I don't even want to hear about these incompetents anymore knowing that I have to pay for nothing! I'm so disgusted!!
So now I will receive the signature slip which will prove nothing to me because anyone can sign without showing their identity, and I will file a complaint against the company and of course, I will not miss the opportunity to go in person to get explanations!!!!
I don’t have anything good to say about them knowing that I lost money and a gift that I was supposed to give which is now lost.....
Thanks a lot for the service pff
