Hello, I think I can provide you with some information about your problem because I work for a company that competes with Chronopost...
So when a sorting depot receives packages like yours, it sorts them to put them in the right cities for them to be sent out to the destinations...
Your issue is that we won't say they've lost your package because it happens, but here when they give the reason "incorrect address," it means that during the dispatch of packages, your package was mistakenly sent to another city... and as a result, when the other sorting agency received the packages that included yours, they noticed that your package was not in the correct city...
To resolve this issue, they have two solutions: either they return it to the sender or they re-dispatch it to your city, which causes you to lose a little over a week...
The best for you, considering the date I'm replying, is that you have probably already received your phone, and if that's not the case, you need to call Orange to inform them about it, and they will send another one because there are loss insurance policies between them...
I hope I have answered well despite the date...
Best regards...

Chronopost lays the first stone of its hub in Chilly-MazarinChilly-Mazarin, October 6, 2006
Paul-Marie Chavanne, President of GeoPost, the parcel and express holding company of the La Poste group, and Thomas Lot, President of Chronopost, today laid the first stone of the Chronopost hub in Chilly-Mazarin (91), also in the presence of the Mayor of Chilly-Mazarin, Vice-President of the General Council of Essonne, Gérard Funes. This platform, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, is set to be inaugurated in early 2008 and will handle nearly 60% of Chronopost's national traffic, with an average of 30,000 parcels per hour. Representing the company's largest investment since its creation – 50 million euros – it will employ 200 people (including 50 new job creations) from its opening.
The year 2006 marks a major turning point in the history of Chronopost, which is currently implementing a development project based on a complete redefinition of its transport plan, network organization, and product and service offerings.
The tonnage transported by Chronopost has increased by 17% this year. To increase the capacity of the Chronopost network, the Poitiers hub has been expanded, and the site in Lyon Corbas has been created.
Starting in 2007, the new organization will rely on a denser network of agencies in mainland France, based on 60 agencies and 5 transit platforms (hubs), located in Corbas, Montpellier, Poitiers, Roissy, and Chilly-Mazarin.
The Chilly-Mazarin hub, for which the first stone has been laid today, will soon be the heart of Chronopost's activities. It represents an investment of 50 million euros over two years – the most significant project for Chronopost since its creation.
“The new Chronopost is underway, as illustrated by the construction of our Chilly-Mazarin hub, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for better flow management. The transformation of our network will allow us to absorb the expected 50% increase in traffic by 2010,” said Thomas Lot, CEO of Chronopost.
With a processing capacity of 30,000 parcels per hour, the Chilly-Mazarin hub will handle nearly 60% of Chronopost's national traffic. It will feature the best available equipment to ensure efficiency, ergonomic work, and safety.
Spanning over 13,000 m², it will have 122 docks, an automated sorting platform 2,600 meters long, and will feature cutting-edge technological equipment: GPS to optimize road flows upon arrival and departure, optical reading system for fast parcel identification, 360° dome camera,…
The site will employ 200 people, leading to 50 new job creations, from the inauguration in 2008. Chronopost management anticipates a target workforce of 280 people by 2010 to meet the expected growth in activity.
The Chilly-Mazarin hub adheres to the guidelines of Chronopost's sustainable development policy. The design of this hub will enable effective control of energy consumption and optimization of the number of kilometers traveled.

Hello everyone.
Over the months, I've discovered that Chronopost delivery drivers make no effort to find recipients.
"I couldn't find the house," I'm sure you've heard that before...
Our house (almost 10 years old) is located in a remote hamlet near Monoblet 30, it's in the phone book, and transport trucks come right to my door, but I have to go pick up my packages at the post office in Saint Hippolyte du Fort, about 8 km away, usually with a 1 or 2-day delay.
My correspondents are delighted with the missed deadlines; you know the rest.
Trust Chronopost; with some organization, delivery of packages in the countryside can become free.

You are kind, but I work for one of the subsidiaries of Chro. A delivery person with 100 customers and 200 packages, do you think they have 30 minutes to search for a house without a number and often without a name on the mailbox?
I did 5 years as a driver, I know what I'm talking about. Before saying nonsense, please do what’s necessary when you order to provide the correct address and a phone number.

Hello everyone,
What does "hub chilly" mean exactly and how much extra time does it take?
Thank you in advance for your answers!

Hello
I have been waiting for 15 days for an iPhone 3GS (up until now it was Orange's fault) but yesterday my order was processed and has now been passed to Chronopost. A big moment because every time I’ve dealt with them, I’ve had problems... Well, it didn't fail this time either!
As for me, I am completely FED-UP with this carrier, it’s always a real mess to receive packages... Either they can't find my address (yet I live in the city), they never bother to ring the doorbell, and I never receive a delivery notice... This is how most of the time my packages take over 2 weeks to land in my hands, and still, I have to go pick them up myself...
So I have one piece of advice to give: if you have the choice... DON'T CHOOSE CHRONOPOST!!!!!
It's a very very very bad value for money!

I had to go through Chronopost for two packages coming from abroad.
For each delivery, the tracking was marked "delivered" and "not available" without me receiving any message in my mailbox (external access without a code!).
The packages went back to the sender, and when the order was placed in Singapore or Germany, it's not easy to explain that it's a French service that didn't do its job. As a result, I had to pay for shipping again, track the package every day, and call Chronopost as soon as it was with them to have it put on hold at a post office near me, but above all, not to use home delivery!
I should add that I haven't had any issues with UPS or DHL!

Hello,
I believe we're all in the same boat. I ordered a phone on August 21 and then went on vacation... Foolishly, I thought they would leave me a delivery notice and that I would pick it up at the post office. I received a call telling me to call customer service to retrieve my phone. First surprise: at Chronopost, they don't know about delivery notices. Well, I thought it's not that big of a deal, it annoys me a bit, I admit, but okay. Second surprise: IMPOSSIBLE to reach a damn person on the phone. 0.15€ a minute for no answer and an incredibly annoying little music, I found it very hard!
The problem is that when I check the order tracking online, it says "canceled." What, canceled?! I haven't received anything! And I haven't been refunded, so I hope for at least something.
You all have also had issues with this company, but I would like to know how you finally managed to get your packages.
Thank you very much in advance (I'm really starting to need this phone)

This morning, May 20, 2010, the package delivery person came by but didn’t ring the bell, didn’t knock, didn’t call, and my package was sent back. The delivery people are serious, but this person doesn’t deserve to work.
I find it shameful for "adult" people to behave so childishly. He may write poorly, but some of you may be ugly, and no one is asking you to get a facelift!!... All this just to say that it's a forum, not a poetry collection site. He took the time to respond to someone out of a spirit of solidarity just to help, and you take the time to reply just to criticize out of pure malice. Well done!! So honestly, given the choice, I would rather not know how to write and be a good person than know how to write and be a jerk, because that can’t be fixed ^^ How I pity you!!
There have always been, and unfortunately there will still be, people who talk for the sake of talking! I agree with you, this is no longer a forum, and by constantly dismissing those who are willing to respond, soon no one will reply, and when they're in trouble, they'll be the first to cry, just like always; criticism always goes hand in hand with complaining!
A forum is a forum, you never know who is replying... Right away I can criticize or say that Chronopost is great (personally I can't say anything for now except that the delivery has apparently worked and quickly) but sometimes it can be good to vent by criticizing, it's not nice but there you go...
Hello
Here are some explanations hoping that despite the age of the post it will help people with delivery issues with Chronopost
Thu 22/05/2008
17:58 NANCY CHRONOPOST
Delivery held at the pickup point
Translation: the driver is returning the remaining parcels from his route to the agency and for each parcel he gives the reasons for the return to the agency, and in this case he informed the customer that the parcel would be available at the Chronopost agency to which he belongs
Thu 22/05/2008
10:00 NANCY CHRONOPOST
Incorrect postal code or recipient address
Thu 22/05/2008
Translation: the driver did not easily find your address; if in 5 minutes he could not resolve the issue, he had to continue his route.
Explanations:
The problem in this case is that the driver made a mistake; he entered in his PSM (mobile entry point: a scanner-PDA if you like) that he did not find the delivery location -> internal code: rc but upon his return he presented the parcel as being at the agency (the agency box on your delivery notices) instead of rc which would have resulted in Chronopost contacting you to resolve the issue. And here comes the next error: no one checked the sheets and the delivery person's machine as should be the case...
The speed of resolution of this kind has a solution and it is human; it can be resolved in a few hours, within a day or a week... (you just need to encounter an idiot or a newbie thrown out into the wild without being fully trained..)
Being "just" a delivery driver, I wouldn't dare to explain the workings of customer service to you. But know that Chronopost works for the SENDER and NOT the RECIPIENT
Some advice and things to know:
- You have the right to check the parcel if it is damaged; whatever the driver's words, if he refuses, refuse the parcel as a reason (mandatory); write: "the driver refused to allow verification of the parcel," dated, signed. If the driver refuses to let you write, call Chronopost if possible the agency you depend on (your post and Google are your friends) and complain; if the issue is not resolved within an hour, call the paid number; it is the main national center, and that will heat things up for the driver ;)
- In case of delay, request a refund; 2 possibilities: if you pay directly to Chronopost for the delivery, ask Chronopost for a refund (in whole or part depending on the conditions); if it is your sender who pays Chronopost, turn to him; depending on their professionalism, you should end up with a solution.
- Customs duties!! Be careful when ordering online; many sites do not specify that you will have to pay customs fees (VAT + handling fees (about 20 euros))
- When customs "collects" your parcel, it disappears into another space-time, and the arrival of your parcel can have a totally random delay
- It is good to know that the time allocated per client is around 2-3 minutes maximum; the schedule constraints do not allow for more given the extent of the routes and the number of clients to serve, plus the parcel collections.
- Orange clients be careful; your operator often has delays that are then attributed to Chronopost... unlike others (Amazon for example) that are very responsive (I say this from personal experience; this is just my opinion)
And ABOVE ALL!!!! Make sure to fill in your contact details correctly!!!!
A driver is not a clairvoyant! A postal code alone can cover a dozen villages, so good luck finding a Mr. Martin at 12 Charles de Gaulle street 78***. The building number on a main street is just necessary to avoid problems.
Hoping to be helpful now or later

I completely understand your reaction, but at the same time, I find it exaggerated and terribly dull. You don't need to have parents behind your back to pay for your studies and wipe your butt to know how to write correctly.
We are in France, so I remind you that school is MANDATORY AND FREE until the age of 16, which includes the time until the bac... giving plenty of time for kids, and therefore adults, to learn to read and write French properly.
Moreover, with my father being a mason and my mother a cleaning lady, I managed on my own to come to Paris to study law at the Sorbonne and become a lawyer... so it's a question of will.
Excuse me, but your email rather shows a kind of frustration and hatred towards those who have studied, and I don’t see the point since everyone can do so in France at least until the bac. However, I want to tell the other commenter that coming to a site like this to criticize people's spelling is pathetic.
As for Chronopost, they are useless... I have never managed to get delivered at home, even after calling the agency to give them my phone number, entry code, etc.... nothing, always having to go pick it up at the post office with often a two-day delay... in short, totally incompetent....

Hello FRED, thank you for your message. I’ll reply that no, I have nothing against people who have studied; on the contrary, I congratulate and encourage them. But you see, there are guys like that other jerk who come to forums not to help but to make fun of people because they have gaps in their French. Honestly, I don't see what that brings him, especially since forums like this one are here to help and inform certain people in difficulty, and not to criticize. I saw that you completely agree with me...
Also, it’s true that I got pretty worked up when I responded to that first-class idiot, but I didn't generalize about all the people who have studied because look at you; you had working-class parents who worked or still work to live, and I congratulate you for that because you started from nothing. But please don't tell me otherwise; there are those who had their parents behind them to pay for everything they wanted, and it's these kinds of people who enjoy criticizing our shortcomings. Personally, I find that a bit easy and disgusting...
It's true I make mistakes, even a lot, but at least I'm here to help and not to judge...
Very, very kindly, MARTIOU 27 years old
And again, my congratulations for your journey, people like you I appreciate because you don't judge...

Bravo to Maritou and Fed for their responses. I completely agree with you. And the little no-lifers like the other one who throw out useless answers like "Google is your friend," well, they would do better to find a real job because being a professional pain in the ass is their only qualification.
As for me: I ordered a Samsung with a plan on Tuesday, 10/02,
I would like you to help me with an approximate delivery date.
And once again: it’s not because we make spelling mistakes that we have a rotten life.

I'm sorry for leaving such a late comment, but while reading some people's comments, I realize that we live in a world of people who are neither forgiving nor understanding... What does it matter to you if someone makes spelling mistakes?? If it's just to mock people, you're not in the right forum. And Jacky, don't confuse intelligence with knowledge, because one can have done a whole bunch of studies and still be the worst idiot... Not everything is learned in school, so stop bothering those who are struggling because it's not helping them.
Thank you Jacky, I got kicked off a forum because a moderator didn't accept that I corrected him: "I found a solution," he said... Long live well-written French. However, there is a difference between intelligence and knowledge. I think it's more a lack of knowledge.
PS: Lori, there's no need to get upset, do you feel targeted?
PS: Lori, there's no need to get upset, do you feel targeted?
Same for me...
Don't worry, it will be delivered; to whom? when? where? in what condition?
For 5 years I've had issues with every delivery (Paris). For the past 2 years I had them delivered to my office, but since I was laid off I have to have them delivered to my home and now I'm in the same situation:
the delivery person came but I wasn't there (which is false) or they didn’t have the code (false written on the package) not my name on the mailbox (I love putting my concierge's name...)
In fact, if it's not a business, they don't even stop by and drop the package at the post office two or three days later.
I've already lost €5000 worth of jewelry, several personal packages, and this time it’s a €2500 computer!
I boycott all deliveries by Chronopost as much as possible, and now I've just been caught by the carrier subcontracting to Chronopost...
As a result, I'm going to try to go to the Rungis depot before it gets lost...
The IT system is so well designed that one could even think of an association of criminals...

Try putting your fingers in the socket, you'll see it feels good when you pull them out... lol
Moreover, before sending a valuable package, you should inquire... I unfortunately have the honor to confirm that sending precious metals is not allowed, under penalty of voiding the warranty. It's written in black and white in the terms and conditions that you haven't read, like most people complaining here. However, if you were smart and honest, you would say that your shipment was refunded because it was not delivered on time; otherwise...

Chronopost? what a hassle! When I think that we pay extra for this!
Anyway, I used Chronopost twice hoping to speed up my deliveries: result at best 72 hours! The first time, a delivery notice in the mailbox (but there were people at my place so they probably didn't even try to deliver... I even suspect La Poste of having put the notice themselves). The second time, not even a delivery notice => directly dropped off at the post office in the neighboring village.
When I read the forums on the websites, it's always the same story: there are always problems with Chronopost.

But lol!! If you read the reviews online, it's normal that everyone says Chronopost has problems, because only those who have issues come online to say what's wrong; the others don’t care, they received their order, it’s the same everywhere, look at UPS, Colissimo, etc.
By the way, maybe you don’t have a number for your house? For me, it always arrives at my place within 24/48 hours, but it depends on what time you place your order. If you place your order at 8 PM, don't expect to receive it the next day; you have to use your brain and realize that they also have hours. Unfortunately, people don’t read the "terms and conditions" of websites, and they always ask for the impossible.
After all, it’s true that some postal workers, like anywhere else, are slackers; there are always unreliable people, and that’s everywhere.

Then it is enough not to live in a remote place, just to have a number on your house, etc., so that the post office doesn't make a mistake. Generally, the errors come from there. For proof: barely 1% of people complain about Chronopost, UPS, etc.
Every day there are over 100,000 packages delivered, and out of these 1,000,000 people, barely 100 will complain. (in other words, not even 1%)
So see where the fault lies, either incompetent employees, which is rare (proof: not even 1% of complaints), or it's you who have your house number incorrectly placed, or you just don't hear the delivery vehicle arriving (it does happen).
That's it.

This simply means that Chronopost still hasn't delivered your package!!! It's also important to know that the "Chronopost" company requires their delivery personnel to handle extremely heavy delivery routes, and they (the delivery personnel) can't always deliver on time! Staffing issues!!! Once again, at the customer's expense! There you go!!!!
Oh yeah! So they make illiterate or visually impaired people work to lose the address of the package; Well, in my department, I’m not sure if the “Chrono” postmen are possibly illiterate or visually impaired, but one thing I am sure of: the Chronopost agency that covers my area (Bobigny) has hired ghost couriers. This is the second time in a row they have taken me for a fool; the first time was barely a month ago and today I’m going through the same previous scenario: the courier never came to my house, no delivery notice; as a precaution, being a kind recipient, I even banned the landline to my family so that the Lambda courier could easily reach me if by miracle he decided to call the house (yeah right lol). None of that; I spent the better part of my Saturday waiting for a courier who will never show up. Anyway, we pay for a day(s) of frustration, especially for an urgent delivery. To avoid!
I also had a problem with Chronopost today, December 28, 2010. The carrier was supposed to come pick up a package this afternoon for delivery tomorrow before 1 PM. Well, they didn't show up!!!!
This is a big hassle for me because the recipient is taking a flight Thursday morning and won't have received the package before her departure.
I do not intend to let this matter go, especially since I have read numerous complaints on forums!
Chronopost is not a reliable means of transport for express deliveries, contrary to what they imply.

Hello,
The "Chronopost delivery" system is actually simple to understand...
Example:
Let's say he starts his route at 7:00 AM.
He is given 60 packages to deliver over a total distance of 100 km.
By noon, for "X" reasons, he has only been able to deliver 20...
He knows in advance that he won’t be able to deliver everything by the end of his shift, unless he starts working at night!....
His solutions:
1 / Not "found" (meaning didn’t try to find) the customer = return to sender...
2 / Drop off the "excess packages" at the local Post Office or Relay to save time and be able to do part of the rest of his job...
This explains the absence of delivery notices...
3 / Leave a delivery notice, but strangely, you were present because you were waiting for this package, yet no one rang the bell....
Same reason: saving time...the delivery notices can be filled out in advance and dropped off quickly....30 seconds versus 5 to 8 minutes for personal delivery....
Do the math at the end of the day...
4 / Hey, a package I recognize that definitely contains a mobile phone...a nice gift for my girlfriend and since I have a friend who knows how to unlock them, it’s in the bag...No remorse to have because in any case, the customer, even if he complains a bit, will be reimbursed by insurance...we're not dogs after all!
5 / Has anyone ever received a "registered letter with signature" from the post office, directly in their mailbox without having seen the mailman or signed anything while you were at home...? I have!
And if I didn't say anything (about the mailman), it's because he actually delivered my package, he saved time because "they" weren't supposed to give him enough to do his job properly, and he spared me from picking up my package the next day at the Post Office...
Basically, "THEY" want to make people work more with fewer resources while paying employees as little as possible...
What about Chronopost?
Well right now, I have two packages sent from abroad with tracking numbers...There is never any trace at Chronopost. And it’s always the same thing! ! !
There you go, I believe everything has been said about the problem.
Have a good day...

Hello or good evening,
I am satisfied with Chronopost's services on my part. DHL is very good as well, and finally, a wrongly informed opinion about GLS, but the redelivery is free so overall, no worries. Most express services are ISO 9001 certified and are therefore engaged in an improvement process regarding the quality of service and their 1-business-day delivery times.
Getting home is simple, but the delivery person may be coming for the first time. Filling out the shipping label is an important factor. Often, we underestimate this information because a package is delivered and a letter is distributed (it's easier to find the mailbox than the digicodes, the building, the floor, the apartment number...). In Paris, there are buildings as secure as Navarone. True, the postal worker finds the way, but the courier needs more precise and relevant information. Chronopost has two significant advantages over its competitors. On one hand, they allow pickup at the post office for most parcels (except for Orange shipments), and on the other hand, they have Vigik badges to access previously secure building lobbies. Moreover, they have a genuine quality approach. A malfunction can only be resolved if it is reported.
However, Chronopost is deplorable for exports. It’s better to choose an integrator like DHL, UPS, FedEx, or TNT to send your package internationally.
Best regards.

They told me "recipient absent" while I waited all morning and was on the lookout for the slightest car I heard passing by my house. So they are being dishonest; they didn't even pass by my house, and of course, I don't have a notice of passage since they didn't come. Thank you, Chronopost, for this wasted morning...
I’m also frustrated with Chronopost, especially since it’s the second time they’ve made the mistake of sending the package to CHILLY MAZARIN in Paris while I live in the 13th. On top of that, I got hit by customs, and on one of my packages, the tracking indicates that the package was repackaged. I hope nothing is broken or missing. Does anyone know what that means? Can I get a refund for the shipping costs since they sent it to the wrong city and are 24 hours late?
Thank you for your help.
Thank you for your help.

Hello, !! on the "shipping label" there is the sender's address and the recipient's address, simply.
On this forum, I believe we are talking about chornoposte, and not about spelling mistakes, studies, or anything else. So thank you to those concerned for kindly discussing all of that elsewhere!
That being said, I would like to know if there is a waiting period to pick up the package at the post office when the delivery person came to the house but there was no one to receive it.

Like a regular package, I believe.
Once you have the delivery notice, you have to wait for the mailman to finish his route and bring the package back to the post office so it can be "scanned."
I had to wait until the next day to pick up the package; they wouldn't give it to me before for the reasons mentioned above.
