Disrupted Title Numbering

Hello,
I copied and pasted some parts of my thesis and since then my headings are completely messed up, they no longer match and I can't get them back in order.

My table of contents is therefore all misaligned and even when modifying the styles, I can't do it. I need help please :'(

    What if you updated the table of contents (without touching the styles)?

    Retirement is great! Especially in the Caribbean...
