How to recover an internal hard drive ejected by mistake?

The issue isn't that you can eject a hard drive, the problem is that you have the option to eject an internal hard drive, which is normally impossible.

You must have a configuration issue in your BIOS! Reset the settings to default in the BIOS, otherwise check the SATA port configuration to ensure you are set to AHCI and not IDE.

By the way, is it the internal boot drive or a secondary storage drive?

Have you tried just turning off the PC, removing the drive, starting up, shutting down again, then reconnecting the drive and starting up?
