My CANON MP 830 printer can no longer function and displays the error message 5B00
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.11

    Found on the net:
    Waste ink absorber full!

    Check that an ink absorber is not full or saturated (sponge, felt).

      Hello Buge,

      After reading several posts on the forum, I realize that you are the expert for Canon printers. I'm unable to reset the counter to zero on my MX300. It keeps showing the message 5B00. I can no longer use it at all; nothing works.

      Could you please help me solve this problem?

      Hello Buge,

      How do I do that? I don't know what an ink reservoir is. Where are the sponge or felt located?
