Hello,
We would like to insert a URL on our screens, but the content of the URL is not displaying; the screen is blank. Have you ever encountered this issue, and if so, do you have a solution, please?

Hello everyone,
I'm taking advantage of this discussion to present my problem because there are people here who clearly have more skills on MagicInfo than the company that sold me the system and Samsung themselves!!!
Here is the configuration I had my company acquire:
A Me46B screen + a 16GB set back box
The server is installed on a PC on the network and the set back box has a fixed IP.
When I connect to the French version of the server via my web browser, I can see my screen, but when I publish in MagicInfo i premium, which is installed on the same machine as the server, it shows the status as completed, but in the "content" section of the server, there is nothing at all...
I've tried everything: HTTP/FTP protocol, entering the IP address of the machine on which the server is installed, leaving "localhost", but nothing works!
Another detail, when I connect to the server using IE or Firefox, I get an Apache http 500 error and when I try to access the "content" tab, it gives me a message informing me that the information needs to be resent to continue, and this message only disappears if I click several times on cancel...
Do you have any idea to help me get out of this mess?
Thank you very much.-
Hello
I am currently doing an internship in my fourth year of engineering school.
My project involves setting up a multi-window display on an LFD screen.
I need to display information simultaneously from various sources:
internet site, .xls file, .doc, .html, .php, and pdf.
Additionally, I need to have the ability to launch software via a .exe in a section of the screen.
To fulfill this request, I have been provided with the MagicInfo-i Premium edition Author software, which I am currently discovering.
I have a few questions:
- Is it possible to meet all my internship supervisor's requests with this software? And if not, do you know of a software that has the necessary capabilities?
- I would also like to know if there is a way to launch a .doc or .xls document in the element area with MagicInfo-i Premium edition Author, rather than launching them in full screen. For example, using the Visual Basic platform.
- Is it possible to do the same with displaying a website, as I am encountering the same issue?
- I also have a problem with displaying PDFs; the element area is positioned correctly, but the selected PDF page does not display; I do have Adobe Reader XI, though.
If someone could help me or even just point me in the right direction, I would be extremely grateful in advance. Thank you.

Hello, I just received a Samsung ME46B screen along with an SBB-Q32AX4 (embedded PC). Do you know what the password for the Windows Embedded administrator account is?
I also have a problem with the keyboard; I'm in Switzerland and the language packages do not offer a layout for French (Swiss) keyboards, any idea?
Thanks in advance. -
Hello,
I also have a problem with MagicInfo Pro when I upload a PowerPoint to the screen, it asks me to download it and opens a webpage that says the connection is not possible.
I have the latest Client/Server version.
I have the viewer on the Samsung screen.
I have enough space on the hard drive.
Thank you, -
Hello
I wanted to ask you a question: would it be possible to install
the MagicInfo-pro software on the Samsung monitor since it has been uninstalled from the Samsung monitor due to an error on my part? Since then, I have been trying to get it to work with MagicInfo-i Author, but I can't display what I want on the screen.
Thank you in advance for your response.
Best regards. -
Thank you, that was what I wanted to know!
I'll try that on Monday because I'm no longer at work right now! -
so it's very simple,
you need to go to the scheduler (clock icon).
Right-click on the screen name "left pane below network"
select remote access from the dropdown menu.
answer "yes" to the question that explains that it degrades performance
and in principle, you should have access. -
Thank you for this quick response.
Assuming that the VNC server is started on the screen, how do we take control of the screen in Magic Info Pro? -
via the magic info pro tool from the server, it is possible to take remote control of the tool.
indeed, it is done via vnc, it is just necessary to check that the vnc server is running on the screen. -
New user of Magic Info Pro, after a quick demonstration from the salesperson, I can't find how to remotely view the display of the Samsung screen. It's probably through VNC, but when we're in Magic Info, the installer showed me the demo, and we were able to access the Samsung screen with a mouse click or a keyboard shortcut.
Do you have any idea? -
A new version of Magicinfo Pro, client and server, is available. It addresses the issue with periodicity and end date. Furthermore, this version now allows me to add a file to the library via a network drive; there was a bug in the old French version.
Client version 3005.X
Server version 2509.B -
Hi everyone,
XP has completely crashed on my Samsung screen, is there a way to recover a bootable ISO from the Samsung website?
Or can I reinstall a standard XP without any problem from a USB stick?
Thank you in advance

Hello, does anyone have a link to test MagicInfo? Thank you for any help.

MagicInfo works better than MagicInfo Pro, it's better to solve your problem.

magicinfo is better than magicinfo pro

In my opinion, the "areas" should be different and not overlapping, so that all of them can appear. We can define a screen made up of several areas, with Flash, PowerPoint, and the web if we arrange these different areas well.

Hello
I just created a screen with Magic Info.
This includes a PowerPoint presentation and a scrolling text below.
So I have a desktop area with the PowerPoint and a text area.
In the screen preview, everything works correctly; however, when I publish, only the PowerPoint presentation is displayed.
The publication of a scrolling text alone works fine. I think the problem comes from publishing two elements at the same time on the screen.
Is this a bug or a configuration issue?
Thank you for your responses.-

to Gfox:
For your PowerPoint to display in the area and not fullscreen, you need to
1 - Have PowerPoint installed on the screen - the viewer is not enough
2 - Disable the "Viewer" property in the PowerPoint presentation on the Desktop screen
3 - The presentation itself must be in windowed mode (modify it with PowerPoint before including it in the library)
I hope, even though I'm 2 years late, that I could be of help.

to Antona:
Apparently, you can't zoom in on a web page with MagicInfo.
I tried, there's nothing to do it.
And although MagicInfo Client displays the website using an embedded version (ActiveX) of Internet Explorer, we don't have access to links, keyboard shortcuts, and zoom with Ctrl-Mouse Wheel. So I believe you can't display this website in full screen, unless you drastically reduce your screen resolution to 800x600 or 640x480...

Hello
Can we use these "screen PCs" with a "normal startup under XP", without reloading the default configuration, and without the magic-info startup?-
Of course, you can do it.
Just take control of the screen remotely with VNC, or by plugging in a USB keyboard and mouse to the screen, and you end up with a very ordinary PC!
There, you can close MagicInfoPro and DispTicker:
- Window key to see the taskbar,
- Right-click in a blank area of the taskbar,
- Click on Task Manager
- Applications tab, click on the MagicInfo Pro icon in the list and click End Task
- Processes tab, click on the header of the "Image Name" column to sort alphabetically
- In the list, find Dispticker, select it, then click End Process.
Then, to disable (permanently?) MagicInfo Pro, you can:
- Either uninstall it - that’s permanent
- Or remove it from the computer's startup - Unfortunately, the Windows XP installed on the screen does not have MSConfig, so you'll need to be crafty!
- Open the start menu
- On the "Programs" menu entry, right-click and choose "Open All Users"
- A Windows file explorer opens, inside, open the "Startup" folder
- Move the "MagicInfo Pro" icon to the desktop.
- Close the window and restart the computer (Start menu, Shut down, Restart)
That's all!

Sorry, the upgrade Pack was missing on the first link for the latest Client version update.
You can find it at the link below (to be installed on the server side).
http://dl.free.fr/getfile.pl?file=/AMLZAabm
Hi -
You need to check the Server/Client versions; they must have a certain level of consistency.
Below is a link with the latest Server version
http://dl.free.fr/getfile.pl?file=/R2Hkx7ub
Install in order on the control station: Server_Install, Server_Patch, and UpgradePack.
The UpgradePack will allow you to update the Clients online from the Server.
- Remote Management > System > Select the monitor to upgrade > Right click > Update: let the Server do its work and wait for the screen to restart.
During the update, you will notice that there is an uninstallation at first. Therefore, you need to export all layout screens before the upgrade to be able to import them after the update. Thanks to this operation, you will not have to redo your layouts.
- Library > Tools > Screen > Export: Select the screens to save.
- Retrieve the .scn files from “C:\Program Files\SEC\MagicInfo Pro\Export” and make a backup.
- Update Magic Info Pro Server
- Library > Tools > Screen > Import: Import the screens from the backup.
