Hello,
When I schedule a file to be sent to the plasma screen, I make sure to use the "Daily" setting, I save my schedule and then publish it to the plasma, but the next morning the plasma screen is on but my program is not displayed.

so it's very simple,
you need to go to the scheduler (clock icon).
Right-click on the screen name "left pane below network"
select remote access from the dropdown menu.
answer "yes" to the question that explains that it degrades performance
and in principle, you should have access.

You need to check the Server/Client versions; they must have a certain level of consistency.

I'm experiencing the same difficulties at the moment. I noticed that the column next to the periodicity setting allows you to set an end date for this parameter, but when you click on it, it's impossible to change the day (which is set to today by default).
With the IT department, we raised a series of questions to Samsung. I won't fail to share their response with you... if they ever get back to us!

I just saw your post. I only found one tutorial... in English.
I can send you (but how?) the procedure I created for my colleagues who use MagicInfo, as they don't understand a word of English; that's why I can't install the English version which, apparently, solves many problems; I can believe that because all translated software often has bugs. As for Samsung, they haven't called me back, so I'll take advantage of August to follow up with them because I still have my time setting issue that doesn't work in daily mode or any other and it's impossible to set the date.

My company offers a dynamic display software platform. I’ve noticed while browsing the web that Samsung's customer service doesn't work for the maintenance of Magic Pro. It's the eternal problem with "free" solutions, which seem attractive but require hours and hours of work. This would not be the case with a paid solution. With us, maintenance (hotline, remote support, and new version availability) is included in the purchase price, and we respond within the minute.
I would be very interested in your feedback, those of you who have chosen a free solution. Are you satisfied? Do you have an idea of the cost of using this software (for you or your company)? What were the determining factors in choosing this solution (aside from the price, of course)? etc.

I apologize for this very late response, but since there has been no answer resolving my programming issue over a given period, I will practically no longer check.
However, I would like to point out that this is not a free version; nothing in what I’m saying suggests that, we purchased a SAMSUNG screen pre-installed!

Indeed, the English version solves many problems regarding periodicity
you need the 2503 which works very well
to display PowerPoints you need to install the PowerPoint viewer on the client as well as a codec pack if you want to watch videos.

I have indeed loaded the English version which fixed the scheduling bugs, however I am experiencing strange behaviors
each time I restart a screen I get a flash update that wants to install and everything I installed in the past has disappeared, including the PPT viewer.

We have four 400MXn screens in our high school. Client in 3001 and Server 2507. I'm unable to stream web TV on our screens (video streaming). I'm getting the following error: "The instruction at "0x77f2be67" references memory at "0x01e01000". The memory could not be "read"." This also occurs directly in Internet Explorer on the screen.
Does anyone have any ideas??
For those interested, I can share the client programs 3001 and server 2507.
I also have the files to restore the memory of a screen from a USB stick (I had tried so many tweaks to solve my problem that I preferred to restore it).

I often encounter this memory problem that cannot be 'read' (I manage a fleet of 200 PCs)... Generally, it is advisable to turn off the device and unplug the power cable for 1 minute so that the capacitors discharge properly. Indeed, the state of the RAM can be maintained for a sufficient amount of time thanks to the capacitors...
Have you installed VLC V0.9.8a on your monitor or server? This can fix many issues.
Unlike other products, VLC is not directly linked to codecs that are not always up to date.
I have a contact at Samsung to whom I will explain your problem... we will see.

I don't quite understand the use of the content server. I would like the screens to fetch pages to display one after the other, or even randomly, from a network share, without using the scheduler. Is that possible?

If your Samsung monitors are equipped with very small hard drives like ours (5 GB), you need to stream your presentations (hence the need for the content server, which will be another PC on the network where you store your media library) because you won’t be able to fit many on such small disks (MIP client uses the partition D: for this)...
And without going through the scheduler, I'm not sure if it works. You can vary the duration of the presentations....in my opinion, scheduling a loop over a week should be possible...so intervention once a week...we'll see
I'll let you know once I've explored a bit more than I have so far.

To what extent can the MIP client (v 2504) 'refuse' to launch automatically on startup?
We just changed the presentation background (swf) "MagicInfo Pro" to ours and this causes it not to launch anymore. We stay on the Windows desktop.
If I disable EWF, the client launches automatically, but as soon as I enable it, it doesn't launch anymore.
Are you aware of this issue ... and possibly its solution?

Your issue may come from the programmer.
In the programmer, when you add a 'screen' (any media) for a given monitor, you can set it to display for at least one minute or more; just before publishing to the network. You just need to double-click on the "added screen" to "stretch" it over the necessary time... I believe that's where your issue is. Do some tests and open the tutorial to help you; the basic functionalities are explained.
It is also likely that there is a time difference between the client and the server. Please check this aspect.

I have a problem that must seem trivial but that I can't solve: I have 3 screens to program, each with the same program made up of sequences of 5 to 10 minutes that loop, some in PowerPoint, others in video. When I create my screens, I can't adjust their display duration. The Samsung engineer showed me where to act, but didn't do it himself: In the screen menu, in the "zone" hierarchy, you go to the lower section (name, zone type, resolution, start time, end time, AND DURATION). So it would be this duration, by default set to 01:00:00 in my case, that I should change to 00:05:00 or 00:10:00 as needed. The problem is: there's no way to enter a duration shorter than 1:00:00...
As a result, when I program my sequences, sometimes over 24:00, even 48:00, I can't enter my sequences through the zone that is just below the programming grid because the sequence durations are locked to one hour, so I would have the same sequence on screen for 1:00, then the next for an hour, etc... I therefore have to manually enter my sequences, one by one, for all 3 screens, which takes me hours!!! Has anyone understood my problem? :-))) And if so, is there an easier solution for multiprogramming over several days? A simple copy-paste of a group of sequences would be ideal, but I haven't figured out how to do that!!!

At its initial installation, the software was functioning, but since a manipulation on the network, we are encountering numerous problems.
We can't seem to restore the initial configuration.
The first problem was that we could not "see" the Client from the Server station. This means that in the programming window, the screen icon remained gray instead of blue.
After some adjustments on the network, we managed to get this screen to turn blue.
However, when I try to publish on the network to display our presentation (photo, video, and RSS), it does not work; the publishing bar remains stuck at 0%, and when I click on the publishing report, it says "Error, Failed to download SCL file."
I imagine this is a network, domain, or firewall issue, but I don't know how to resolve it. The IT department and the provider who supplied us the screen are also stuck.

Of course, you can do it.
Just take control of the screen remotely with VNC, or by plugging in a USB keyboard and mouse to the screen, and you end up with a very ordinary PC!
There, you can close MagicInfoPro and DispTicker:
- Window key to see the taskbar,
- Right-click in a blank area of the taskbar,
- Click on Task Manager
- Applications tab, click on the MagicInfo Pro icon in the list and click End Task
- Processes tab, click on the header of the "Image Name" column to sort alphabetically
- In the list, find Dispticker, select it, then click End Process.
Then, to disable (permanently?) MagicInfo Pro, you can:
- Either uninstall it - that’s permanent
- Or remove it from the computer's startup - Unfortunately, the Windows XP installed on the screen does not have MSConfig, so you'll need to be crafty!
- Open the start menu
- On the "Programs" menu entry, right-click and choose "Open All Users"
- A Windows file explorer opens, inside, open the "Startup" folder
- Move the "MagicInfo Pro" icon to the desktop.
- Close the window and restart the computer (Start menu, Shut down, Restart)

Just take control of the screen remotely with VNC, or by plugging in a USB keyboard and mouse to the screen, and you end up with a very ordinary PC!
There, you can close MagicInfoPro and DispTicker:
- Window key to see the taskbar,
- Right-click in a blank area of the taskbar,
- Click on Task Manager
- Applications tab, click on the MagicInfo Pro icon in the list and click End Task
- Processes tab, click on the header of the "Image Name" column to sort alphabetically
- In the list, find Dispticker, select it, then click End Process.

Hello
I just created a screen with Magic Info.
This includes a PowerPoint presentation and a scrolling text below.
So I have a desktop area with the PowerPoint and a text area.
In the screen preview, everything works correctly; however, when I publish, only the PowerPoint presentation is displayed.
The publication of a scrolling text alone works fine. I think the problem comes from publishing two elements at the same time on the screen.
Is this a bug or a configuration issue?

1 - Have PowerPoint installed on the screen - the viewer is not enough
2 - Disable the "Viewer" property in the PowerPoint presentation on the Desktop screen
3 - The presentation itself must be in windowed mode (modify it with PowerPoint before including it in the library)

Apparently, you can't zoom in on a web page with MagicInfo.
I tried, there's nothing to do it.
And although MagicInfo Client displays the website using an embedded version (ActiveX) of Internet Explorer, we don't have access to links, keyboard shortcuts, and zoom with Ctrl-Mouse Wheel. So I believe you can't display this website in full screen, unless you drastically reduce your screen resolution to 800x600 or 640x480...
