I believe the show you are looking for was called "Les Tacots". Here is a link to where you can purchase the show and watch a sample:

Unfortunately the sample does not include the theme song, but you can buy a copy from the NFB for 20$.
Watching the sample brought back great memories! Hope this helps, and sorry about the lack of french in my response. I speak it a lot better than i write it.
