Hello,
We have just purchased a digital camera EOS 450D. However, the user manual is very brief.
We are unable to display what we are aiming at on the LCD screen. We only see the various menus.
Can you help us sort this out?
Thank you in advance

As a response, we can't do better! You must be a great reporter and the others are just little fools.

When buying a reflex camera, you need to look a little further than the end of your nose and not just buy it because it has "a bigger lens than your neighbor's..." so the "against the idiots" also means being against yourself...
You need to switch to the P function, then press the SET button, and there you go, the image appears on your LCD screen.
It's a reflex! Not a compact, so normally you aim through the viewfinder and not at the screen.
However, the 450D has live view which allows you to display on the screen, losing the viewfinder aiming.
Then there's a big user manual in the package, and in all languages if you bought the device in stores, it should include all that.
Finally, I'm sorry but if this type of question is being asked, then you definitely don't need a reflex camera, but a much simpler compact one!
