Hello,
I have a quick question. Can I replace T (telephone) sockets with RJ45 sockets?
Let me explain: in my house, I have 8 T (telephone) sockets, and only one is in use while the others are not, and I would like to know if I can repurpose the wires to install RJ45 sockets and thus create a local network. Knowing that the 7 sockets (wires) are no longer connected to the one I use.
Thank you for your answers.

Hello,
Absolutely, it's possible.
To replace a T socket (junction) with a communication socket (RJ45), you just need to connect wires a and b (gray and white) to contacts 4 and 5 of the RJ45. The other wires are no longer useful today.
However, be careful to place an ADSL filter upstream, as these only adapt to junctions (or install a master filter). If you have VoIP or total unbundling, no filter is required.
Happy wiring.
