APC inverter beep sound

Hello,
my APC Back-UPS RS 500 inverter has been beeping all day and red indicator lights are blinking. This inverter is less than 2 years old. I kindly ask you to inform me of the problem and let me know whether I should turn it off or not. Thank you.

    Hello...

    It seems that it's no longer holding the charge, which is surprising if it is less than 2 years old, unless it has been running 24/7...
    Try leaving it plugged in WITHOUT using it, that is, without any equipment connected to it... for a day...
