Hello,
I installed PES 2009 and entered the key, but when I try to start it, I get a black screen and the game doesn't launch. Why is that? I don't think it's a resolution issue since the screen displays nothing, and I changed the settings in the game, but it's the same result. What resolution should I use or what should I do?

I tried, but it still doesn't work. Every time I launch the game, I always get this black screen.
I haven't been able to play for over 2 months.
It used to work perfectly fine until I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and now it doesn't work anymore.
Please, if someone has a solution, thank you for indicating it.

After some tedious hours of research, I finally found a lead. Apparently, it seems to be a problem related to the "img" folder located in C:\Program Files\konami. More to investigate... Of course, I'll keep you updated on any progress.

This problem is becoming annoying because I really want to test this damn game ^^
The worst part is that the demo runs perfectly . . . =/ -
The problem with Konami is that they only aim to satisfy the majority, not everyone.
People experiencing the issues we encounter are overlooked by Konami, and it's frustrating =@
That we have to rack our brains ourselves to find a solution and be able to play PES, when they are the authors... -

It's really frustrating, I don't even want to launch Fifa 09 given the quality of this one on PC :/ I've been scouring all the forums where this issue is mentioned, but no solution is found. And the patch doesn't help at all!

I think it must come from our computers because in the options I have this
and I think instead of good on a blue background it should be today on a green background. -
Well personally, in the options, I have everything green, except the RAM (I have 1 GB), but it should still run fine...
Do you have everything green in the options? Check so we can draw a conclusion ;) -

If I think it is necessary to have everything green, I have everything blue, but there is someone who has 512 MB of RAM and it is green, and I have 3 GB and it is blue.

All blue (good), personally, a 8800GT, a dual processor and 2GB of RAM that can't run PES, that would hurt me :/

that would hurt me too, but I don't think that's where it comes from. -
A triple core, 3 gigabytes of RAM, and a 9600 M GT. If I can't run PES with that, it's because I got scammed in the scam of the century. Well, I don't think that's the case. If someone comes across this forum and knows the trick, it would be great if they could share it with us. They would certainly solve the issue of the 21st century.

Good evening, I have a 9600 Pro with 256 MB of VRAM. My setup seems to be the minimum to play. I’d like to mention that I have the same problem, and I'd like to add a detail... the bug occurs when the stars in the lower left stop shining, so logically I should see the Konami logo, but the game freezes at that point. Is it the same for you?
