Hello, I performed several hard reboots but nothing works. When I turn on the Freebox HD it shows me  - done reading gif - fin . - fin . - connextion to the server ... - invalid return code

here is the conversation between us two:

you can also try its fastest, most effective!!

- Plug your HD box into ethernet (mandatory).
- Unplug the power to your HD box.
- Press the middle button on the HD box.
- Plug the HD box back in while continuing to press this button.
- Wait for the red LED to light up before releasing the button.

once the updates are completed the Freebox HD restarts in five seconds

moreover if you had recordings on your hard drive they will not be erased you just need to reactivate it, pure happiness!!!

For me personally, I unplugged the power cable, waited about ten seconds, then reconnected the power cable, and voilà—miracle, the message disappeared and my Freebox started working again :) so try this solution first, good luck

Hello,
For my part, I’ve just encountered the problem when I moved the TV to another room in my apartment, so I plugged the HD box into a different power outlet.
After switching to another power outlet again, everything was back to normal.

I had the same problem.
The modem is plugged into a power outlet and the Freebox is plugged into a power strip on an outlet right next to the modem.

Result: on the power strip I have 3 outlets, and adding two more functional outlets causes the Freebox network to fail with "invalid return code."

I removed those two outlets and restarted the Freebox and it works perfectly.
